Deleted/Removed Chapter From Class 12 Chemistry

A total of six chapters have been removed from the chemistry syllabus. The chapters removed from the NCERT Class 12 Chemistry textbook 2023–24 are listed below:

Chapter 1- The Solid state

The NCERT class 12 chemistry chapter 1 includes general characteristics of the solid state, amorphous and crystalline solids, classification of crystalline solids, crystal lattices and unit cells, number of atoms in a unit cell, close packed structures, packing efficiency, calculations involving unit cell dimensions, and imperfections in solids.

Chapter 2- Solutions

The NCERT class 12 chemistry chapter 2 includes types of solutions, expressing concentrations of solutions, solubility, vapour pressure of liquid solutions, ideal and non-ideal solutions, colligative properties and determination of molar masses, and abnormal molar masses.

Chapter 3- Electrochemistry
