Eligibility criteria are one of the most important things to check before filling the NTSE 2024 registration form. In case a student is not eligible for the exam, then his/her NTSE 2024 application form can be quashed by the authority. Below we have listed some of the major eligibility criteria which are required to fill NTSE form 2024.
Students need to qualify class 9th exams with minimum marks as imposed by the state-level exam conducting authority.
The student must be studying in class 10 in a school affiliated with a recognized board.
Open school students studying in Class 10 can also submit the NTSE form provided that their age is below 18 years and they are not employed.
Students who cleared the NTSE stage 1 exam do not need to fill a separate NTSE application form 2024 for stage 2 exam.
The selected students’ data is shared by the state-level exam conducting authorities. Students can download NTSE admit card 2024 for stage 2 using their old state-level credentials.
Abroad students who fulfil other eligibility criteria do not need to appear for NTSE stage 1 exam. They can appear for NTSE stage 2 exam directly by submitting NTSE registration form 2024.
Students who passed stage 1 do not need to register for stage 2.
Stage 2 NTSE 2024 application form is accepted by the Indian nationality students studying abroad in class 10.
Students have to score at least 60% minimum marks to appear NTSE stage 2.
The notification for abroad student registration will be released in February 2025 (tentative).
Abroad students need to fill and submit stage 2 NTSE registration form 2024 before the NTSE application form last date.

Students have to submit or upload certain documents while submitting the NTSE 2024 registration form. All the documents should be duly attested by the Principal of school. The documents required for NTSE 2024 application form are listed below:

Some states release stage 1 NTSE 2024 application form through the official website. Eligible students can fill the NTSE stage 1 application form 2024 in online mode. They will have to upload documents attested by their Principal for online NTSE registration 2024. The steps to fill the NTSE form 2024 are given below.
Go to the state/UTs SCERT website and click on the relevant link from the table given above.
After that, on the homepage click on the NTSE 2024 registration form link.
Enter the asked details like student name, date of birth, gender, caste, mobile number, academic details, family Income and others.
After that, upload the scanned copy of documents like photograph, signature, etc.
Complete the fee payment and then download the filled NTSE application form 2024.
At last the Head or Principal of the School will send the forms to the State Liaison Officer.
Obtain NTSE form – Students need to download the NTSE registration form 2024 from the official website or collect it from the liaison officer.
Filling up the details- Fill up the stage 1 NTSE application form 2024 as per the instructions. Enter the asked details in the NTSE 2024 application form like student name, father's name, etc.
Attach Documents: Paste a recent photograph and sign the NTSE form 2024. Attach required documents with the form
Payment of application fee – Pay the requisite application fee (if specified by the state/UT exam conducting body).
Application form submission – Students must ensure that the NTSE application 2024 form has been filled correctly. Also check that all required documents have been attached. Then, submit the NTSE form in offline mode to the respective Liaison officer.
Fill the correct and valid information in the NTSE form.
Fill all the details in the capital letters only with a Blue or Black ballpoint pen.
Avoid overwriting, wite details only in the given boxes in clear handwriting.
Incomplete information can lead to the rejection of NTSE registration form 2024.
Students should fill the NTSE form at least 4-5 dates before the NTSE application form last date.
While filling the NTSE application form 2024, students need not provide the 4-digit centre code as it should be filled by the liaison officer or concerned district officer or centre superintendent.
Students are asked to fill their exam centre preferences in the NTSE application form 2024. The centre will be allotted by authorities. The nearest centre examination centre based on the preference filled in the NTSE registration form 2024 will be allotted.
All the details related to the exam centre will be mentioned on the admit card. NTSE stage 1 and stage 2 exams will be conducted in different examination centres. The allotted examination centre will not be changed, so fill the preferences carefully.
Stage I Exam Centre- Students have to contact their schools to know about the nearest NTSE examination centre 2024.
Stage II Exam Centre- NCERT will release the list of state-wise stage 2 exam centres. Students can check the details of the same on their admit card. Generally, NTSE stage 2 exams are held in 32 cities and Kendriya Vidyalayas are allotted as exam centres.
