The National Council of Educational and Research Training has released the NCERT Syllabus for Class 11 English 2024-25. The NCERT Syllabus for Class 11 English is available in PDF format on the official website - ncert.nic.in. Students can download the complete NCERT 11th English syllabus 2024-25 and start preparing for the exams accordingly. The NCERT Class 11 syllabus 2024-25 for English is segregated into three sections - Reading, Writing & Grammar, and Literature.

As per the NCERT Syllabus for Class 11 English 2024-25, there are three books in the literature section, Hornbill, Snapshot, and Woven Words. The new NCERT syllabus is designed as per the latest and revised pattern by the National Curriculum Framework. Students can check the exam pattern and marking scheme from the NCERT English class 11 syllabus provided below. Before the exam, they can prepare a study schedule by using CBSE date sheet 2025. Highlights of NCERT Syllabus for Class 11 English 2024-25

  • The syllabus is divided into three parts: Section- A, B, and C.

  • Section A (Reading Skills) consists of unseen passages to improve the reading and literary skills of a candidate. It will carry 26 marks in total for final exams.

  • Section B (Grammar and Creative writing skills) - This section has Short and Long writing tasks. Writing portion comprises Notice, Formal/Informal Invitation, Letter writing, Reoprt writing to develop student's writing skills. This part will carry 23 marks.

  • Section C is a Literature section. In this, students need to read the prescribed books. This section carries 31 marks. Questions are asked from NCERT books to test comprehension skills in the exam.
