Sainik School Satara Eligibity Criteria 2019
Boys seeking admission in Class 6th should be 10-11 yrs of age. Those seeking admission in Class 9th should be aged 13-14 yrs as on 01 July in the year admission is being sought. For admission to class 9th, the boys should be studying in class 8th in a recognized school. Admissions will be made strictly in order of merit only in classes 6th and 9th.
Sainik School Satara Application Form 2019
The application form, prospectus and sample question papers are made available by Sainik School Satara in the months of October and November. Online application form can be filled up on school website. The printout of completed application form will be required to send with the demand draft enclosed. After the completion of application process, the admit card will be made available. It will also be sent to each candidate by post.
Sainik School Satara Admission Process 2019
The entrance exam will be conducted in January. Selected candidates, as per merit, out of the qualified candidates will have to sit for an interview at school and a Medical test in the Government Civil Hospital. The final merit list is prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the written test and interview. Admission will be given on the basis of final merit list and reservation form.

Sainik School Satara Exam Pattern
The exam consists of objective type questions and is conducted in offline mode. The question paper for Admission to Sainik School Satara is based on an entrance test comprising Maths, GK (Sc & SSt),Language and Intelligence for Class VI; Maths, Intelligence, English, General Science and Social Studies for Class IX, followed by an interview and medical examination. Sainik School Satara Admission Reservation
15% of the available seats are reserved for Schedule Caste candidates and 7.5% for Schedule Tribe candidates.
25% of the balance seats are reserved for the children of serving and retired defense personnel.
The remaining seats are filled up by open category candidates based on the order of merit.
Sainik School Satara Result 2019
After the conduct of entrance exam, the result for admission to Sainik School Satara 2019 will be released in the first week of February. A merit list with the names of shortlisted candidates will be released online followed by an interview and a medical examination.

Sainik School, Satara is situated at Satara City, on Pune-Banglore highway. It was the first Sainik School amongst a chain of 24 such schools established in the country. Sainik School, Satara was founded on 23 Jun 1961 by the then Defence Minister of India, Shri V K Krishna Menon with the aim of preparing boys academically, mentally and physically for entry into the National Defence Academy and other Defence Academies, who hail from financially weaker sections of the society and thereby removing the regional imbalance for such entries in the Armed Forces.
