The norms of Sainik School reservation are given below:
15% of the total seats are reserved for students of Scheduled Caste, and 7.5% for students of Scheduled Tribe.
Out of the remaining seats, 67% of seats are reserved for students hailing from the State of Maharashtra.
The remaining 33% of seats are for students hailing from other States and Union Territories in the ratio of their male population. Any unused seat shall be given to students from the state of Maharashtra in the order of merit.

Qualifying marks for Sainik School Chandrapur entrance exam are mentioned below-
The minimum qualifying marks for students of the General category and children of Defence Services and Ex-Service Personnel is 25% in each subject, and 40% in aggregate.
Students belonging to SC/ST category do not have to meet any minimum qualifying standards. They will be admitted on the basis of inter-se merit at the entrance examination within these categories.
Please note that if a student belonging to SC/ST category comes in the general merit on their own, they would be admitted against the general seat and would not be adjusted against the reserved share of SC/ST seat.
Merit List for Sainik School Chandrapur will be compiled on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate.
If there is a tie with regard to the overall marks, then the marks scored in Mathematics will be considered.
If there is a tie continues, then marks for English for class 9 and Intelligence Test for Class 6 will be considered, and thereafter, marks for General Science for Class 9 and Language for Class 6 will be considered.
If there is a tie continues yet, then the student younger in age will be selected.
Marks obtained in the written test shall determine the final position of the students on the merit list.
Sainik School Society shall release the cutoff list along with the results of entrance exams during the second week of February 2020. Students who shall obtain the cutoff marks will clear the first round and shall qualify for the medical examination round. Students can refer the following expected cutoffs to get an idea of their chances of clearing through the first round:

Class 9 cutoff
Students who qualify the entrance examinations shall be examined by a Medical Board, which will ensure that the students meet the standards of weight, height, vision, and more.
Some of the standards that students are expected to meet are:
Students must have a standard vision of 6/6 for both eyes.
Students who are physically or visually challenged shall not qualify the medical examination.
Students with special needs shall not qualify the medical examination.
