The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to implant APAAR ID as the Primary Identifier for students studying at CBSE-affiliated schools. The CBSE board has introduced the APAAR ID Monitoring (AIM) system to track the creation of APAAR IDs of students attending CBSE-affiliated schools. This program is a part of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which aims to bring improvement to the Indian education system. Below, we have provided detailed information on APAAR ID, the implementation process for schools etc.

APAAR stands for Automatic Permanent Academic Account Repository. It is a 12-digit unique identification number that helps students store, manage and access all their academic records such as marksheet, grade sheet, degrees, diplomas, certificates and co-curricular accomplishments. Students can visit the official website, apaar.education.gov.in or abc.gov.in to register themselves and get the benefit of APAAR ID.
CBSE expects all the CBSE-affiliated schools to ensure that all the students have created their APAAR IDs. Hence, they have created APAAR ID Monitoring (AIM) for monitoring APAAR ID creation in CBSE affiliated schools.
