Official Guidelines for CBSE Exams 2025

CBSE Chairman Rahul Singh today hosted a webinar, "Roadmap for CBSE Board Examinations 2024-25," for schools, parents, and other stakeholders, outlining exam instructions and guidelines. These guidelines are provided below.

    • Classroom Monitoring: CCTV surveillance will be in effect in all classrooms during CBSE exams.
    • Restricted Movement: Once the CBSE exam begins, students will not be permitted to leave the classroom for any reason, including drinking or using the washroom.
    • Admit Card Verification: Only students whose subjects are listed on their CBSE admit cards will be allowed entry to the exam hall.
    • Authorised Personnel: Only subject expert teachers will be permitted to evaluate answer scripts.
    • Invigilation: Observers will be deployed at exam centres.
    • Question Paper Security: The Center Superintendent is authorized to collect the question papers. Secure transport arrangements will be in place for question paper handling.
    • Frisking: Male and female teachers will conduct frisking for their respective genders.
    • Subject Selection: Schools must exercise diligence when filling out subject choices for students, as subject changes will now be strictly regulated.

Instructions to be followed on the CBSE Exam Day 2025

    • CBSE Admit Card: Carry your admit card/hall ticket without fail. It is your entry pass to the examination hall. Ensure it is not damaged or tampered with.
    • Reach on Time: Arrive at the exam centre well before the reporting time. This allows time for security checks and finding your seat. Late arrival may result in you not being allowed to enter.
    • Dress Code: Follow the prescribed dress code. For CBSE, this usually means school uniforms for regular students.
    • Permitted Items: Only take permitted items inside the exam hall. This typically includes your CBSE admit card, pen, pencil, and any other stationery allowed by CBSE. Avoid bringing electronic devices, calculators (unless specifically allowed), or any unauthorized study material.
    • Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, smartwatches, and any other electronic communication devices are strictly prohibited. Possession of such items can lead to disqualification.
    • Follow Instructions: Listen carefully to the invigilator's instructions and follow them meticulously.
    • Read the Question Paper Carefully: Before starting to write, read the CBSE question paper thoroughly. Understand the instructions, and the marking scheme, and plan your time accordingly.
    • Write Neatly: Present your CBSE answers clearly and legibly. Neat handwriting makes it easier for the examiners to evaluate your answers.
    • Manage Your Time: Allocate your time wisely for each question. Don't spend too much time on one question at the expense of others.
    • No Unfair Means: Do not resort to any unfair means, such as cheating or copying. If caught, you will face serious consequences.
    • Stay Calm and Focused: During the exam, stay calm and focused. Don't panic if you find a question difficult. Try to answer the questions you know well first.
    • Submit on Time: Ensure you submit your CBSE answer sheet within the allotted time.

CBSE Exam Day Routine To Follow

A well-structured CBSE exam day routine can significantly reduce stress and improve performance. To help students plan their exam day effectively, a suggested routine is provided below.

    • Start Your Day Right: Wake up early to allow yourself ample time to prepare. Have a balanced breakfast to fuel your brain. Avoid anything too spicy or risky that might upset your stomach. Bananas are a great, easily digestible option.

    • Double-check the Details: Confirm the exam venue, date, and time. It's easy to make a mistake in CBSE board exam 2025, so double-check all the details to avoid any last-minute surprises.

    • Gather Your Essentials: Before leaving home, ensure you have everything you need:

      • Identification: Your admit card and school ID card.

      • Stationery: Pens, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, ruler, and any other necessary items (check the exam guidelines).

      • Map/Directions: If you're unfamiliar with the location, have a map or directions to the exam centre.

    • Use the Facilities: Visit the restroom before the exam begins. CBSE exams can be long, and you don't want to waste valuable time during the exam.

    • Identify Yourself: Remember to write your name clearly on the exam paper. It might seem obvious, but many students forget!

    • Read Carefully and Plan: Read through the entire CBSE question paper carefully before you start answering. Quickly plan how much time you should allocate to each section or question.

    • Prioritize: Begin with the questions you feel most confident about. Do not feel obligated to answer them in order.

    • Break Through Blocks: If you encounter a mental block, start writing down anything related to the topic. This can often help you to recall the information you need.

    • Time Management: Stick to your time allocation for each section. Do not get bogged down on one question and run out of time for others. Leave any questions you're unsure about for the end.

    • Clarify Doubts: If you have any questions about a question, don't hesitate to ask the invigilator for clarification.
