Students must follow the CBSE Class 10 date sheet to learn more about the exam schedule in detail. The CBSE 10th is the turning point in students’ academic journey, and they must prepare well for the board exams leaving no stone unturned. Check out the points below to learn more about the mistakes that students must avoid in the CBSE Class 10 board exam 2025.
Candidates must carry a valid CBSE 10th admit card 2025 and the latest photo ID proof to the examination centre. Without these documents, students will not be allowed to appear and write the board exam.
Candidates must go through the CBSE board exam Class 10 question paper before starting the examination. They must spare at least 10-15 minutes mandatorily to read the question paper. Many students skip reading the question paper during the CBSE Board 10 examination; instead, they directly start writing the exam. This will lead to mistakes. There may be important instructions for students that they must go through before starting the exam.
Students are advised to write the answers properly in the answer sheet allotted to them within the specified time and word limit using key points and headers. They should avoid overwriting and use the given space effectively to write meaningful answers.
Many students are confused during the CBSE 10th exam while writing the answers, and because of this, they do cuttings and commit to overwriting the answers and objective-type questions. Students are advised to avoid cuttings in writing the answers. They must write only those answers they are confident about.
Students must write the answers within a specified word limit. Exceeding the word limit for answers would be a time waste for candidates and they will not be able to cater enough to the other sections. Candidates may lose their time for writing other section answers if they focus on only one section.
Candidates must note that it is important to answer the question in the specific section. They must answer correctly in the answer sheet to the particular question. For example, if a student wants to answer a question from Section A, then he/she must attempt the answers for that section. Students must mention the section name and question number correctly to which they are writing the answers on the sheet. Evaluators may find it difficult to correct the board exam answer sheets. Students may lose their marks if they do not mention the section and question number correctly.
Writing the answers within a specified word limit can help students get good marks, including diagrams and flow charts will help students score more. These diagrams have a high chance of getting attention, and evaluators may find it easy to evaluate the answer sheets. So, students must try to include flow charts, diagrams, or even drawings in the specific answers to get more weightage of marks
Students must carry their stationery items to the examination centre. They should not ask or even try to communicate with other students about anything in the exam hall. It will be considered malpractice if a student asks for any stationery item from the other students. Candidates must ask doubts of the invigilator only during the conduct of the CBSE Class 10 exam. They are advised not to communicate with the other students.
Practicing previous year's papers will help students manage their time better and they can improve their speed. Time management is crucial for students during board exams as they have to write many things within a specified time.
Students must allocate the last 10-15 minutes to go through the entire answer sheet. They must check if they have answered all questions by mentioning the appropriate section name and question number. They must read the answers they attempted for the flow and numbering of the questions. This will help them get an idea of how much they can score in the CBSE exam.
Candidates must avoid using unfair means in the CBSE board exam 2025 to maintain integrity through the exam. Students who use unfair means like copying material, communicating with other students during the exam, having electronic devices, fake ID proof, etc., may lead to the termination of the CBSE board exam. The CBSE will take strict action and penalties for using unfair means to write and pass the examination. Students must avoid such practices in their CBSE Class 10 board exam journey.
Students must mandatorily carry the CBSE 10th hall ticket and a valid photo ID proof for verification to the board examination centre. Without these documents, students will not be allowed to write the exam.
The Central Board of Secondary Education started conducting the CBSE Class 10 examination from February 15 till March 18, 2025.
