CBSE Full Form - CBSE stands for Central Board of Secondary Education. It is a national-level educational board in India that is affiliated with both public and private schools. CBSE is under the direct supervision of the Indian government. Every year, CBSE conducts national board examinations for students in classes 10th and 12th. CBSE Full Form

CBSE was founded in the year 1929. It is considered one of the oldest boards when compared to the majority of other important Indian educational boards. Its main headquarters is in New Delhi, with regional offices in cities like Delhi, Chennai, Ajmer and others. The official languages of the board are both English and Hindi. The exam that the CBSE administers for Class 10th students is known as AISSE, whereas the exam for Class 12th students is known as AISSCE.

CBSE Board: History

The Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Rajputana, a cooperative board established by the Indian government, is where CBSE's history began. This board was established before India gained its independence in 1929. The areas covered by this board were Ajmer, Merwara, Gwalior, and central India at that time. The government gave this body the name Central Board of Secondary Education, which is currently known as the CBSE, in 1952.

SASTRA University commonly provides concessions and scholarships based on merit in class 12 board exams and JEE Main purposes with regard to board merit you need above 95% in PCM (or on aggregate) to get bigger concessions, usually if you scored 90% and above you may get partial concessions. I suppose the exact cut offs may change yearly on application rates too.
