CBSE was founded in the year 1929. It is considered one of the oldest boards when compared to the majority of other important Indian educational boards. Its main headquarters is in New Delhi, with regional offices in cities like Delhi, Chennai, Ajmer and others. The official languages of the board are both English and Hindi. CBSE Board: History
The Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Rajputana, a cooperative board established by the Indian government, is where CBSE's history began. This board was established before India gained its independence in 1929. The areas covered by this board were Ajmer, Merwara, Gwalior, and central India at that time. The government gave this body the name Central Board of Secondary Education, which is currently known as the CBSE, in 1952.

The criteria for passing the CBSE 10th or 12th board exams are quite simple.
For Class 10th - To pass the CBSE Class 10th exam, students must receive at least 33 per cent in both theory and practical subjects.
For Class 12th - Students must receive at least 33 per cent marks in both theory and practical exams individually in order to pass the Class 12th CBSE board exam.
