All students should ensure they have all necessary materials, including appropriate attire and stationery, prepared in advance to avoid any inconvenience during the exam.

Students appearing for CBSE board exams 2025 are subjected to extensive and compulsory physical frisking before entering the examination centre. Candidates who choose to wear excessively bulky clothing or accessories can create challenges for invigilators attempting to ensure that no resources, such as paper or electronic devices, are concealed.

The CBSE exam was held from February 15 to March 18, 2025 for class 10th and from February 15 to April 4, 2025 for class 12. The students were informed in advance what they should wear while coming for the CBSE 10th, 12th examinations:

The regular students preparing for the CBSE class 10 and 12 board exams should adhere to the dress code set by their schools. All regular students can arrive at the exam hall in their school uniform. Access will not be granted to any candidate who is not dressed appropriately according to the formal school attire. Both male and female students are required to wear their designated school uniforms.

CBSE Dress Code For Girls & Boys

Private candidates are required to adhere to the dress code set by the CBSE and cooperate with the authorities. Also, following specific guidelines set by the CBSE for both male and female candidates.

For Girls

  • CBSE class 10th & 12th exam regulations strictly prohibit the wearing of heavy clothes and jewellery.

  • Light colour clothes are preferred compared to darker ones.

  • Furthermore, any kind of jewellery such as earrings, nose pins, anklets, bracelets, rings, and necklaces should be strictly avoided in the exam hall.

  • Lastly, it is advised to wear slippers or chappals without heels for comfort while appearing the exam.

For Boys

  • Students are required to wear light-coloured shirts or T-shirts.

  • It is important that the clothing is light and devoid of zip pockets, or large buttons.

  • Male candidates have the option to wear pants or trousers.

  • Also, students are expected to wear sandals, slippers, or shoes.

  • Your class 12th board exam admit card. Please do check admit card for registration number, it must be there.
  • You can also check the registration number in your class 12th marksheet in case you have got it.
  • Alternatively you can also visit your school and ask for the same in the administration office they may tell you the registration number.
