(Total length of two passages to be 600-700 words) Multiple Choice Questions / Objective Type Questions/Very Short Answer Questions will be asked to assess comprehension, interpretation, analysis, inference, evaluation, and vocabulary. | |

CBSE Class 10th English Grammar Syllabus
CBSE 10th English Grammar is evaluated through tasks such as gap-filling (with one or two words), editing or omission of errors, and sentence re-ordering or transformation in context. In the CBSE Class 10 English paper, the grammar component is allotted approximately 10 marks. For the Language & Literature stream, these marks fall within the “Writing Skills + Grammar” section (which carries roughly 20 marks).
