    CBSE Class 12 Biology Question Paper 2017 with Solutions - Questions and Sections

    CBSE class 12 question paper of biology 2017 included a total of 26 questions which were divided into 5 sections that are: A, B, C, D, and E. Among all these sections only section-C is there which consists of more questions that contain 36 marks, whereas section-D consist of only one question that contains 4 marks. There were a total of 31 questions and out of these only 26 questions need to be attempted as in case of no optional that question was mandatory.

    CBSE Class 12 Biology question paper 2017 Pattern:

    Students are required to complete all the questions of CBSE Class 12 Biology which consist of 70 marks and were divided into 5 sections in the given time period only that is 3 hours. There were 3 sets of question papers in which all three sets contain almost the same questions and only a few were unique in the set 57/2 and 57/3 with the variation in their numbering.     CBSE previous year question papers Class 12 Biology 2017 Analysis:

    • The overall paper was not easy.

    • No questions were asked out of the syllabus.

    • Most of the questions came from the unexpected topics.

    • Only 2-3 questions were related from the previous years’ question paper

    • All the questions were from the syllabus and based on the NCERT textbook.

    • The question paper pattern was similar to the sample provided by CBSE.

    • Few questions were of moderate standard and section D of all set was quite tough.

    Among all sections, section C was a little lengthy as well as time-consuming and it was of a moderate level and most of the questions were asked from the chapter like sexual reproduction in flowering plants, human health and disease and molecular basis of inheritance. In CBSE class 12 biology question paper, few questions were too lengthy.

    Otherwise, the paper was direct and no application-based questions were asked. Chapter-wise, the total number of questions and weightage in terms of marks for CBSE class 12 biology board question paper 57/3 is given below as the weightage of chapters in the rest of the 2 subsets that is 57/1 and 57/2 was almost same.
