The CBSE class 10 Science syllabus provides a clear understanding of fields like physics, chemistry, and biology. It also helps in improving a comprehensive understanding of core subjects, critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and analytical skills for students aiming for higher studies in science fields. The class 10 science syllabus covers a wide range of topics including fundamental topics like reproduction, electric current and magnetic effects of current, chemical reactions, carbon compounds, evolution, and reflection of light. The annual examination will be on 80 marks and 20 marks will be covered on internal assessment.
The Class 10th science syllabus covers a variety of topics across 5 units. In chemical substances, students will learn about the types of chemical reactions, acids, bases, salts, metals, non-metals, and carbon compounds. The second unit, the world of living provides an understanding of life processes, reproduction, heredity, evolution, and control and coordination in animals and plants. The natural phenomena unit includes important topics like the reflection of light, refraction of light, the human eye, and its vision defects. The fourth chapter Effects of Currents gives an understanding of electric currents, magnetic currents, and their effects. The unit of natural resources includes our environment.
