NCERT has completely restructured the Class 9 English curriculum for the academic session 2026-27. The older textbooks 'Beehive' and 'Moments' are replaced by a single comprehensive textbook titled 'Kaveri'. The book is designed according to the National Curriculum Framework for School Education to reduce rote memorisation and stress. The updated syllabus reduces the overall reading load for the students by cutting down the texts. The curriculum shifts focus toward culturally relevant learning. The book features a stronger focus on Indian authors such as Sudha Murty and Rabindranath Tagore, while keeping international works. Each part is well-structured and helps enhance the reading, writing, and comprehension abilities of students by making learning easy and enjoyable. The latest NCERT English books for Class 9 are a perfect blend of language and literature.
