The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) offers a broad and thoughtfully designed range of subjects for students in Class 9 and Class 10. Students can choose from a mix of core subjects like Math, Science, Social Science, and English, along with regional and classical languages, and a growing number of vocational and skill-based subjects like IT, Retail, Agriculture, and Health Care.

The UPMSP Class 9th and 10th subject structure is designed in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. With this wide subject range, UPMSP ensures that every student has an opportunity to shape an educational path that fits their interests, abilities, and future goals. In the UP Board curriculum, students are generally required to choose a minimum of 6 subjects, which include:
Two language subjects (usually Hindi and English or another language of choice).
Three core subjects (like Math, Science, and Social Science).
One elective/vocational subject (based on interest and school availability).
Note: Some students may also opt for an additional subject, making it a total of 7 subjects in certain cases. However, the subject combinations must comply with UPMSP’s academic framework.
