February 19: CBSE exam to be held twice a year

For the upcoming academic year, 2026-27, the CBSE board has announced plans to launch a global curriculum for foreign students. The CBSE board is preparing to conduct the board examinations twice a year, which will be put into public soon. These changes align with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and National Curriculum Framework recommendations aim to create a stress-free learning environment for students while expanding CBSE's global presence.

February 15: CBSE 10th and 12th Annual Exams Begin

The Central Board of Secondary Education began the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 exams on February 15, 2025. Students will have to appear for the board exams to their respective allotted exam centres.

February 12: Private Candidate Practical Exams from February 15

In a recent notification, CBSE has announced Class 12 practical exam dates for private candidates. Respective exam centres will conduct private candidate practical exams from February 15 to March 15, 2025.

February 3: CBSE 10th 12th Admit Card Released

The CBSE released the Class 10 and 12 admit cards for both regular and private students on its official website. Private students can download their admit cards directly from the website, while regular students will receive theirs from their school principals.

February 1: CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Last Date Extended

Recently, the board has extended the last for filling out application forms for the Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme. Now, eligible students can fill out the application form till February 8, 2025.

January 25: CBSE Exam Begins February 15

  • The board announced the CBSE exam dates 2025 for theory on November 20, 2024.
  • The CBSE class 10th exam are being held from February 15 to March 18, 2025, whereas the CBSE class 12th exam are being conducted from February 15 to April 4, 2025.
  • This year, the schedule was released earlier, allowing students more time to plan and prepare for their final examinations. Candidates are encouraged to start their preparations in accordance with the announced dates.

December 6, 2024 - No Open Book Exams for Class 10th and 12th

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will pilot Open Book Examinations (OBE) for Classes 9 and 11 only. While the board had approved introducing OBEs for all secondary classes (9 to 12) in December 2023, it has decided not to include Classes 10 and 12 in the 2024-25 pilot program.
