The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the CBSE Class 11 English Core Syllabus for the 2025-26 academic session. The CBSE Class 11 English syllabus has been released on the official website. Students can download the CBSE 11th English syllabus from this page as well. The CBSE Class 11 English subject is divided into two categories: English Core and English Elective. The CBSE Class 11 English Core syllabus is organised into three sections: Part A, Part B, and Part C. Section A focuses on Reading Comprehension, Section B covers Creative Writing and Grammar, while Section C includes content from Literature Textbooks and Supplementary Reading Materials. Exams for CBSE Class 12 will take place from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. The majority of the key subjects—Physics, Chemistry, Math, English Core, Accounts, Business Studies, etc.—have three-hour papers that end at 1:30 PM. Certain art/music papers, as well as other vocational areas, are examples of shorter papers that last two hours and conclude at 12:30 PM.  

Students receive the question paper at 10:15 AM and have 15 minutes to peruse it before they can begin writing at 10:30 AM. To complete the necessary paperwork, students must arrive at the testing location at least 30 to 45 minutes before the exam's start time, which is approximately 9:45 AM.

CBSE Class 11 English offers two courses: Core and Elective.
