Hi kanahiya kumar,

No, you cannot sit for the Bihar Board improvement examination for the year 2026. You passed in 2024, according to Bihar Board rules, only the next immediate year of passing, which would have been in 2025, would allow for improvement exams. Since two years have lapsed; you cannot apply for improvement for 2026.

For Bihar Board Class 12, if you have an additional subject and scored higher in it than one of your main subjects, the marks from the additional subject will be considered in the calculation of your overall percentage, replacing the marks of the lower-scoring main subject.

Additional Subject Inclusion:

The Bihar Board, like other boards, calculates your overall percentage based on the best 5 subjects you have taken, including any additional subjects.

Replacing Lower Scores:

If you score higher in an additional subject compared to one of your main subjects, the marks from the additional subject will be used instead of the lower marks from that main subject in the calculation of your overall percentage.

Passing Criteria:

To pass, you need to obtain at least 33% marks in each subject, including the additional subject.

Check your Marksheet:

Ensure that your final marksheet reflects the inclusion of the additional subject marks in the calculation of your overall percentage.

Contact your school or the Bihar Board:

If you have any doubts or discrepancies regarding your marksheet, contact your school or the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) for clarification.

To find your overall percentage in the Bihar Board 12th result, add the total marks obtained in all subjects, including theory and practicals. Divide this by the maximum possible marks for all subjects, then multiply the result by 100. This will give your final percentage.
