NIOS Registration 2021 - National Institute of Open Schooling has started NIOS 2021 October registration for class 10 and 12 students. They can fill NIOS registration form to appear for public or on-demand examinations. NIOS registration 2021 can be done in online mode only. The registration process and dates are the same for NIOS 10th exams 2021 and 12th while eligibility criteria and NIOS registration fee are different for both. Students can also apply until March 15, 2021, with late fees. After NIOS registration 2021, they should note down the reference number generated during the NIOS admission 2021. NIOS Registration 2021 - Important dates
Students can check the following table to know the class 12th and 10th dates for public exams registration. For on-demand examination, NIOS registrations are held throughout the year and exams are held except April-May and October-November because that time public exams are held.

Stream-wise NIOS Registration 2021
NIOS accepts registrations for various 4 streams. Students can fill NIOS registration form for any of the streams as per their eligibility. Here’s the detail for all the streams:
NIOS Stream 1 Registration
- This stream of NIOS registration 2021 is open for all the learners-secondary and senior secondary courses.
- Steam 1 students are allotted an accredited institute (study centre) to guide them for studying.
NIOS Stream 2 Registration
- NIOS online registrations are held for this stream for the students who have passed the 10th class exams from a recognized board but wish to appear for the exam of one subject or up to 4 subjects to for upgrading their qualification.
- Such students will have to upload their failed Marksheet/Admit Card (Hall Ticket) along with other relevant documents.
- This stream students will be able to appear in April 2021 exams.
NIOS Stream 3 Registration
NIOS registration under this stream is open throughout the year for class 10th students.
Those who have passed the secondary exam from a recognised board, but wish to appear for one subject or up to 4 subjects for enhancing their score can fill stream 3 NIOS Registration form for the on-demand examination.
Students who could not clear, or could not appear in the NIOS 10th class Public Examination can also apply for NIOS 2020 registration.
The students can apply for the following subjects only: Business Studies (215), Data Entry Operations (229), Economics (214), English (202), Home Science (216), Hindi (201), Indian Culture & Heritage (223), Mathematics (211), Painting (225), Psychology (222), Sanskrit (209), Science & Technology (212) and Social Science (213).
NIOS Stream 4 Registration
Under this stream, NIOS registrations 2021 are going on for class 12th students
Students who have passed the senior secondary exam from a recognized board, but wish to appear for one subject or up to 4 subjects for enhancing their score can apply for stream 4 through the on-demand examination system.
Students who were unable to clear or did not appear in the NIOS Class 12 public examination can also apply for this stream NIOS ODES registration.
NIOS Registration 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Students must check the eligibility criteria before start filling NIOS Registration form else if a student is found ineligible, his/her registration for NIOS can be cancelled at any stage. Read ahead to know the complete 10th, 12th eligibility criteria for NIOS registration 2021.
NIOS 10th Registration Eligibility Criteria
- A student must be 14 years of age as on January 31, 2021.
- He/she should be born on or before January 31, 2006.
- A student who has passed class 8 and has a valid proof of age is eligible to apply.
- Student can also apply for NIOS class 10 registration 2021 if he/she gives a self-attested certificate that " he/she has studied enough to be able to pursue secondary course".
- One who has studied in secondary school can also apply in this category for improving the score or to complete the course.
NIOS Class 12 Registration Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be 15 years of age as on January 31, 2021.
- He/she should be born on or before January 31, 2006.
- Students must have passed the secondary exam from a recognized board.
- A student who has studied in senior secondary school can also apply in this category for improving the score or to complete the course.
- Students who fulfil the above-mentioned conditions are eligible for NIOS 12th registration 2021.
How to do NIOS Registration 2021 for 10th and 12th?
Students can fill NIOS online registration form for April 2021 by following the step by step process given below:
Steps to Fill NIOS Registration Form Online
Step-1: Students have to click on the relevant link given above after the first paragraph.
Step-2: After clicking on the NIOS Registration link, students have to select state/UT, identity type, and the course (secondary or senior secondary) and click the submit button.
Step-3: After this, students will be redirected to a new page wherein they have to enter their basic details, such as name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender, Aadhar number, mobile number and email ID. Click on generate OTP button and verify contact details then submit NIOS registration form.
Step-4: Then, enter optional details as asked and proceed to choose subjects and study centre preferences.
Step-5: Now students have to fill their addresses other information and upload the documents, such as social class proof, birth certificate, correspondence address proof, photo, signature and previous qualification certificate.
Step-6: After filling all the details, students have to proceed for payment. Applicants can make the payment through credit card debit card or net banking. Before paying the NIOS registration fee, students should review their form.

Students have to upload the scanned copy/soft copy (jpg, jpeg files) of the following documents while filling NIOS registration form for April 2021 exams:

After the registration, a student will have to pay NIOS exam fees in online mode only. The exam fee is separate from the registration fee. The payment window is opened in November and May for block 1 and 2 exams respectively.

Question: How many subjects I can choose in NIOS?
Answer:
You can choose a minimum of 5 subjects including at least 1 or maximum 2 language subjects. You can also choose two more additional subjects. So you can opt for a minimum of 5 subjects and maximum 7 subjects in NIOS registration.
Question: What are the mediums for study provided by NIOS?
Answer:
NIOS provides English, Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, Odia, Telugu, Gujarati, Tamil, Malayalam and Punjabi mediums for 10th class students. While for class 12, the mediums offered are English, Hindi, Odia, Bengali, Gujarati and Urdu.

Yes, you can do so by applying in offline mode at respective study centre. You will have to produce documentary proof to apply for the same.
Question: Can I change my subject chosen during NIOS registration?
Answer:
Yes, you can change one or more subjects, but the total number of subjects should not exceed seven. Already passed subjects can not be changed.

You have not got your admit card of stream 1 block 2 senior secondary you expecting for appearing exam in January 2021. You have to search in NIOS authority's official website mentioning your problem in details. After verifying all the documents in online mode in the format given by the NIOS for stream 1 block 2 format you should have to registered again your candidature.

There are several examinations in January and February but since you have not mentioned the name of the examination let me tell you what public examination means- A public examination is the oral examination of an individual on oath in open court. It may be held at any time before a bankrupt's discharge or the dissolution of a company in a winding up.

Twice a year in April and October, the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) conducts NIOS Class 12th exams. The 12th NIOS Date Sheet 2021 was published on the official NIOS website on 26 November 2020. From January 22 to February 15, 2021, NIOS will administer the Class 12 NIOS October exams. Due to COVID-19, the exams have been postponed. The realistic exams are expected from 15 January to 25 January 2021. Applications are available through online mode or offline mode. Mode of Exam is in offline mode.
Is nios class 12 science are allowed for Neet?
Yes a NIOS student is eligible for NEET provided he/she will be atleast 17 years as and secure the minimum aggregate required against their Category. It is 50% for General Category in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST.
