2. Algebra	2.1 Quadratic Equations 2.2 Linear equations in two variables	Solve day-to-day problems which can be expressed in the form of quadratic equations. Decide the number of variables required to find solutions to word problems. Convert a word problem into an equation in two variables and find its solution.
3. Commercial Mathematics	3.1 Financial planning	Understand the concepts of savings and investments. Get familiar with financial transactions in business, profession, etc.
4. Statistics and Probability	4.1 Probability 4.2 Graph and measures of central tendencies	Use the concept of probability in games, voting, etc. Present the collected data in the form of graphs or pictures, deciding on the suitable form of presentation. Find the mean, median and mode of the provided classified data.

Geometry	1.1 Similar triangles 1.2 Circle	Solve examples using properties of similar triangles, properties of congruent triangles and Pythagoras' theorem. Construct similar triangles. Be able to use properties of chords and tangents. Be able to construct tangents to a circle.
Co-ordinate Geometry	2.1 Coordinate geometry	Find the distance between two points. Find the coordinates of a point dividing a segment in a given ratio. Find the slope of a line.
Mensuration	3.1 Surface area and volume	Find the length of the arc of a circle. Find areas of the sector of a circle and the segment of a circle. Compute surface areas and volumes of some three-dimensional objects.
Trigonometry	4.1 Trigonometry	solve examples using trigonometric identities, solve problems like measuring the height of a tree, the width of a river bed, etc,. using trigonometry.
