The “Best of Two” scheme in the GSEB SSC exam is designed to give students a second chance to improve their performance without being penalised for a poor attempt. Under this scheme, students who are unsatisfied with their marks, have failed, or were absent in the main SSC exam can appear for the supplementary examination. The key feature is that the board considers the higher marks out of the two attempts, the main exam and the supplementary exam, for each subject.
