The CBSE Board has revised the process of post-result activities. This revised process enhances transparency and gives students more control over their academic outcomes. It also aims to minimise unnecessary requests by ensuring that only well-informed applications are submitted. Students are advised to carefully review all instructions and deadlines to make the most of this opportunity.
Before proceeding with any further steps, students are required to request a photocopy of their evaluated answer booklets. This allows them to thoroughly review their responses and check for any discrepancies, such as missed evaluations, calculation errors, or unawarded marks. Access to the actual evaluated copy helps students assess the accuracy of the marking process and decide their next steps accordingly.
Once students have reviewed their answer sheets, they may choose to apply for verification of marks, re-evaluation, or both. Verification is intended to identify errors in the totalling of marks or data entry. Re-evaluation, on the other hand, allows for a fresh assessment of specific answers if a student believes they were not fairly marked.
Also, Check:
Only candidates who have requested a photocopy of their evaluated answer book are eligible to apply for CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation or challenge the marks awarded to any question.
Requests for re-evaluation/challenges will only be accepted for the theory portion at a fee of Rs. 100/- per question.
Applicants must refer to the marking scheme for the relevant subject, which will be available on the website along with the question paper. Subsequently, candidates can submit an application for revaluation in the required questions along with their reasoning.
The status of the revaluation will be uploaded on the website, followed by a formal communication from the Regional Office.
Even a decrease of one mark will be implemented.
The result of the re-evaluation will be final, and no appeals or reviews against the re-evaluation will be entertained.
In any case, the Board's decision on the awarded marks will be final and binding on the candidates.
Requests for all the processes will be accepted only Online and during the specified schedules, along with processing charges. No application after the scheduled date and time, and in offline mode will be accepted.
The processing fees can only be paid online using a Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking. Postal Order, DD, Money Order, Cheque, Cash, and other forms of payment will not be accepted for processing fees.
Incomplete, offline, or applications submitted without the required fee will be rejected without any communication with the candidate.
Only one application per candidate will be accepted for each step in the online process. Candidates must decide in advance whether they will apply for one subject or multiple subjects. Once an application is submitted, no second opportunity will be given.
The Board will not be held responsible for any consequences arising from changes in marks or delays in the process due to reasons beyond its control.
Even a decrease of one mark will be considered.
In cases where there is a change in marks (either an increase or decrease), candidates must surrender their current Marksheet cum Certificate. They will then be issued a new Marksheet cum Certificate.
The processing fees are non-refundable.
Verification of Marks involves the CBSE checking for clerical errors in totalling marks on your answer sheet. There is no reassessment of your answers themselves. Re-evaluation is when an examiner reassesses the answer. It's a more in-depth process than verification.
The CBSE Verification process is initiated by students who are dissatisfied with their grades and suspect errors were made during the evaluation.
There is a possibility that grades may either increase or decrease after rechecking. If there is an improvement in grades, students will receive an error letter from CBSE.
The rechecking process solely involves recalculating marks.
Examiners have the authority to review the marks assigned by previous examiners.
Students are only required to identify calculation errors made by the most recent examiner.
CBSE 12th students are eligible to request a recheck of their scores for any subject.
Revaluation encompasses the examination of a particular subject or paper. Within this procedure, there are three distinct stages: mark verification, Photocopy of the answer sheet, and Revaluation of answers. The revaluation process is carried out by a different examiner, who assigns new marks based on the assessment of any evaluation errors.
However, it is crucial to keep in mind that the revaluation process may result in an increase, decrease, or no change in the marks obtained. To avoid the rejection of their applications, students should ensure that they fill out the application form accurately and without any errors.
