The Bihar School Examination Board has released the exam centre management and guidelines for intermediate exams. All the students who are appearing for the BSEB inter exam are advised to reach the examination centre at least an hour ago. The district centres are advised to close the main gate 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination. The board will strictly direct the school and other authorities to ensure that these guidelines are followed. The board will conduct the intermediate exams and the matric exams from February 1 to February 25, 2025.
In the year 2024, around 13.04 lakh students appeared for the Bihar inter-board exams. The board will conduct the inter-exams at 1,523 examination centres tentatively. Last year's statistics - a total of 4,62,425 students filled out the form for the first exam of biology and philosophy and for the economics exam, a total of 89,691 students filled out the form. The board will release all the necessary instructions for the exams soon.
The BSEB will also release the Bihar Board Exam Centre List 2025 on the official website where students can check the exam centres allotted to them. Below, we have listed the guidelines released by the Bihar board. Students are advised to follow these instructions to avoid inconvenience on the exam day.
Students will need to reach the examination venue at least an hour before the exam time. Late students will not be allowed to sit in the exam. The exam will be held in two shifts, the first shift will commence at 9:30 am hence, students need to reach the venue before 9 am and the second shift will start at 2 pm hence, students need to reach the venue at 1 pm. No unauthorised person will be allowed to enter within a 200-meter radius of the examination centre.
If a candidate tries to enter the examination centre after it is closed by jumping over the boundary wall or getting in forcefully/ illegally due to late arrival will be considered a criminal trespass. In such cases, the candidate will also be expelled from the examination for 2 years and an FIR will be registered against him/her. The board will also suspend and take legal action against the centre superintendent and other identified person of that examination centre.
Frisking at two levels: Students will go through the two levels of frisking. Firstly, at the gate of the venue, here the police force will be used for frisking. The second check will be done by the invigilator in the examination hall. After that, the invigilator will give a declaration that they searched all 25 students and no cheat sheet or electronic gadget has been found with them.
It will be ensured that every class will have one invigilator catering to 25 students.
Electronic gadgets or mobile phones are strictly prohibited in the examination hall. Along with this documents not related to exams are also strictly prohibited in the examination hall. If a student enters the examination hall wearing an electronic watch then it will be considered as a case of misconduct and he/she will be expelled from the examination.
The police will check all examination centres in their district during the examination to ensure that no unauthorised person comes within a radius of 200 meters of the examination centres.
The board will direct the installation of the CCTV cameras and the arrangement of videography is to be made in every examination centre.
The board will direct to conduct of surprise inspections in the examination centres. The nodal officer of various examination centres of their allotted district will conduct the surprise visits. Three-tier magistrates have been deputed at all examination centres, namely zonal, sub-zonal, and super zoner levels.
For the successful completion of the exams, the committee will form a WhatsApp group of nodal officers, district education officers, and district officers using which information can be exchanged smoothly.
These are some of the most important guidelines to be followed at Bihar Board exam centres. Students should go through each of them carefully.
For inter-exams, the board will make four model examination centres in all districts of the state. Girl candidates will appear for the exams in these centres, the board will have all security including the magistrate, invigilator, and others.
Students will get the OME answer sheet and book simultaneously. The time of the collection of answer sheets from students is given below:
BSEB inter-students will get the answer book and OMR answer sheet containing their photo, name, roll code, roll number, subject code, subject name, shift, registration number, and date of examination.
Disabled students will be provided with a writer, along with that they will get an additional time of 20 minutes per hour to compensate.
The board will provide the ten sets of question papers in the examination. They will be named as A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I and J. With this approach, every 10 students will get a different set of question papers.
For the first exam of biology and philosophy a total of 4,62,425 students filled out the form and for the economics exam, a total of 89,691 students filled out the form. In Patna itself, a total of 78 examination centres are allotted for the inter-exams. It is expected that a total of 36,524 girls and 40,488 boys will appear for the exams in these centres.
