The Millennium School, Amritsar, recently organised a session on "Earn while you learn" by Swadeshi Jagaran Manch as part of a campaign to educate kids about startups, entrepreneurship, and jobs. The session was designed with the goal of fostering in students a proper business and corporate culture so they can develop their talents and become student volunteers at a young age. The event saw the presence of Vinay Kumar, Pramukh Punjab Swadeshi Jagran Manch along with Arvind Sharma, Amit Handa and Bhavesh Mahajan of Sanyojak Swadeshi Jagran Manch. Neha Sethi from Mahila Pramukh Swadeshi Jagran Manch also attended the session.

About The Millennium School, Amritsar

The Millennium School (TMS) was established in 2009 and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It is managed by Shri Krishna Hare Educational Trust. “The school aims to provide the children the tools they need to succeed in life and get ready for their bigger responsibility of influencing the Indian Millennium in the future. The Millennium School works to create responsible citizens who are open-minded, innovative, and critical thinkers, who are also self-disciplined yet enthusiastic in both thought and action,” says the school’s website. The school is currently being led by Shailja Tandon.

The Millennium School, Amritsar Events

The Millennium School in Amritsar recently celebrated Diwali with all of the students dressed festively in bright clothes. The school choir's renditions of Ram Bhajan and Shabad infused the mystical ambiance with rhythm and harmony. Shailja Tandon, principal, delivered a statement at the end of the assembly in which she wished the children well and reaffirmed the importance of celebrating Diwali without pollution in its purest form by lighting lamps and giving to those less fortunate.
