Students should cover the solve the previous year's CBSE question papers. Taking into consideration the questions that have been asked in the exam throughout the years, we have discussed the important topics and their weightage in details below which should serve as important preparation tips for CBSE class 12 Chemistry paper:

  1. Chemistry in Everyday Life, Polymers and Bio-molecules carry 10 marks. It is advisable to cover these portions initially.

  2. There will be at least three to four questions from Surface Chemistry, which is also an important section for competitive exams.

  3. Stereo-chemistry, s, p, d, f block elements, transition elements, surface chemistry, nuclear chemistry, chemical equilibrium, gaseous state and coordination compounds are a few topics which are scoring and yet students find a little difficult. These sections must be covered thoroughly as apart from the class 12 exam, these are also covered in JEE and other exams.

It is very important for students to manage their time wisely while they are studying as studying in class 12 Science implies that they have to devote time to other exams such as JEE, NEET and so on. Now that you have registered yourself to appear for all the subjects , which means you are repeating 12th standard again. The board views you as a normal 12th grade student.

Hence, you have to appear for all the exams (internals and externals), practicals, assignments etc.

Candidates must have passed their class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and candidate who have opted for biology must have 75% aggregate score in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.So,if you have physics,chemistry and maths as compulsory subjects,then you will be eligible.Candidates must also score 60% individually in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Yes, you need to appear for each and every exam this time irrespective of whether you passed last year or not. Your new result will consist of new grades or marks replacing the older ones.

In supplemenry exam you need not to give all exam but just in which you failed.

The examination dates of CBSE class XII has been released but the exact routine of it is not published yet. The exact chronological routine would be published on the official website of the CBSE well before the examination. The dates of the examinations are as follows:

  • Class XII practicals: 1st January 2020 to 7th January 2020.
  • Class XII theory exams: 15th February 2020 to end of March 2020.

I'm sorry but a dropper after class 12 th can not appear for improvement exam. You can only appear for improvement exam in the year after you have passed your boards. However, do not worry in most sectors marks do not play a major role nowdays. All the best!
