About NSO 2019

SOF NSO 2019- Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) conducts the National Science Olympiad (NSO) for class 1 to 12. NSO is an annual scholarship exam that tests students’ scientific reasoning and logical ability. SOF NSO is conducted on two dates for Level 1. Schools have to select a convenient date for the exam and register for the NSO by 30 days before the exam date. Students could collect the SOF NSO registration from their respective schools. They could register only through their respective schools as individual registrations are not accepted. Around 10 lakh students register for NSO every year.

  • Students could register for SOF NSO 2019 by filling the form and submitting it along with the registration fee of Rs.125.
  • The National Science Olympiad is conducted at two levels-Level 1 and level 2. SOF NSO 2019 Level 1 is scheduled to be held on November 11 & 21, 2019 while level 2 will be conducted on the 2nd/3rd Sunday of February 2020.
  • The admit card for level 2 will be issued in the first week of February 2020.
  • The level 1 result will be announced in December 2019 however, the level 2 result will be declared in March 2019.

NSO 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Students enrolled in classes 1 to 12 are eligible to apply for level 1 of SOF NSO 2019 through their respective years. A student can apply for the exam once a year.

Only 10 students can register for NSO 2019 exam from each school.

NSO 2019 Application Process

The organising body sends the prospectus of SOF NSO 2019 containing registration forms to all schools registered with SOF. The students' roll numbers will be generated by the coordinating teacher appointed in each school. The schools will then return the duly filled SOF NSO registration forms to SOF along with the application fees within dates specified. They will also send a copy of the roll numbers of students and the school registration form. It is mandatory that at least 10 students are registered from each school for the exam.

Students who are preparing for National Science Olympiad should solve the sample papers for better understanding of exam pattern and syllabus. Sample papers also help students to improve their performance in the examination.

Documents Required at Exam

  • Admit Card

SOF will release the NSO 2019 answer key (level 1 exam) for set A and B in the month of November 2019.  The answer keys contain all the correct answers of Set A, B and C of the exam.

Science Olympiad Foundation will declare the SOF NSO 2019 result for level 1 in the last week of December 2019, in online mode. The level 2 result will be declared on in the 2nd week of March 2019. Students will be able to check their result by visiting their respective schools or access it online in SOF’s official website. Candidates who are selected in level 1 are only eligible to sit for level 2 of NSO which was conducted 1n February 2020

What shall a student whose school is not registered with SOF do to participate in NSO?

If your school is not registered with SOF still you can apply for the exam by requesting for prospectus by sending them an email and completing the form and send them before due date. You can get their email id from there official website. I am providing you the link of official website.

I would suggest you to go for MGT books as most of the question in question are found to br  directly form MGT books. one can get 45+ marks if he/she has done thise books

you can also go for previous years papers, workbooks an some mock tests that are avialable online also.

and MTG books are handy there exercises contains almost all type of variety questions.
