The CBSE Class 10 results for 2025 were announced on May 13, 2025. A total of 23,719,39 students appeared for the CBSE Class 10 board examination 2025 across 84 subjects. The exams were conducted at over 7837 centres nationwide, which took place from February 15 to March 18, 2025.
In 2024, a total of 22,388,27 students appeared in CBSE 10th exams. In which 20,954,67 students passed the exam, and the pass rate was 93.60%.
In 2023, CBSE board held the Class 10 exams from February 14 to March 21, declaring results on May 12. That year, 93.12% of students passed, with 21,65,805 candidates appearing and 20,16,779 successfully clearing the exam.
In 2022, a total of 20,93,978 students appeared, with an overall pass percentage of 94.40%. Boys recorded a pass percentage of 93.80%, while girls performed slightly better at 95.21%.
The year 2021 saw 21,50,608 students take the exam, with an impressive overall pass percentage of 99.04%. Boys achieved a pass rate of 98.89%, while girls outperformed with 99.24%.
Looking at past trends, more than 90% of students consistently pass the CBSE Class 10 exams. For those worried about failing, historical data is reassuring, as the chances of passing remain high. Additionally, CBSE awards marks not only for correct answers but also for the steps taken in problem-solving, further boosting students' scores.
In 2025, there was a notable increase in the number of students who registered, appeared, and passed their exams compared to 2024. The number of registered students grew from 2,251,812 in 2024 to 2,385,079 in 2025, while the number of students who appeared for the exams increased from 2,238,827 to 2,371,939. This resulted in a higher number of students passing, with 2,221,636 passing in 2025, up from 2,095,467 the previous year. The overall pass percentage also saw a slight improvement, rising by 0.06%, from 93.60% in 2024 to 93.66% in 2025.

It is important to note that CBSE is introducing a major change in the Class 10 examination system. Starting from the 2025-2026 academic year, Class 10 board exams will be conducted twice a year, marking a significant shift in the examination process.

Students can check and download their scores from the official websites: cbseresults.nic.in and results.cbse.nic.in. Apart from websites, students can also access their results via DigiLocker and UMANG apps, available on both the Play Store (Android) and App Store (iOS). CBSE will create DigiLocker profiles for all students and share login details before the CBSE results are declared. Online CBSE 10th results will be available on DigiLocker on the result day, while mark sheets and pass certificates will be provided a few days later.
