List of Scholarships for Class 11 Students

PM YASASVI Scheme

The PM Yasasvi scholarship is for the students studying in Class 9 to 12. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India offers the scholarship to students belonging to OBC, EBC and DNT categories. Selected Class 11 students will receive a scholarship of up to Rs 1,25,000 that covers tuition, hostel fees and other school charges.

Students applying for the scholarship must check the eligibility criteria required for the PM Yasasvi scheme. Below, we have provided the eligibility criteria for the PM Yasaswi scholarship scheme:

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.

  • They must belong to the Other Backward Class (OBC)/ Economically Backward Class (EBC) or Denotified Tribes (DNT) category.

  • Must be studying in Class 9 to 12 in a recognised school/ college.

  • The annual family income has to be less than or equal to Rs 2,50,000.

National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS)

The Central Government of India offers the NMMS scheme to students from economically weaker sections. The NMMS scholarship is for students of Class 8 with a minimum of aggregate of 55% marks. It offers 1,00,000 scholarships to students whose parental income is up to Rs 3.5 lakhs per year. For the scholarship, students will have to sit for the NMMS examination.

The National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme is a sponsored program by the Ministry of Education. Students can continue the scholarship up to class 12. However, only eligible and selected students can apply for it. The NMMS scholarship eligibility criteria for Class 11 are given below for student’s reference:

  • Must be selected in NMMS merit list during Class 8 study.

  • To receive the NMMS scholarship in Class 11, students must secure 60% marks in Class 10. There will be a 5% relaxation for reserved categories

  • The scholarship is for students who are studying in India.

Post-Matric Scholarship for Students

The Post Matric Scholarship is a financial assistance program offered by the Government of India to support students from economically weaker sections. Students can apply for the post-matric scholarship online through the National Scholarship Portal. This scholarship is for students studying from class 11 onwards.

Financial Support to the Students of N.E.R. for Higher Professional Courses (NEC Merit Scholarship)

The North East Council offers NEC Merit Scholarships to the students of the North East Region (NER) studying at different levels inside and outside the North-East but within the country. The scheme is disbursed through the National Scholarship Portal. To receive the NEC merit scholarship for the HSLC/HSSLC/Senior School Leaving/Senior Secondary Leaving Certificate, students have to clear the examination with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.

Science Olympiad Foundation

These olympiads encourage students from Classes 1 to 12 to showcase their talents at national and international levels. HBCSE Mathematical Olympiad

The Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education Mathematical Olympiad is conducted by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education. Students from Classes 8 to 12 can apply for the Mathematical Olympiad. There are three stages in the HBCSE olympiad exam, IOQM, RMO and INMO.

National Standard Examination in Physics

The Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) conducts the National Standard Examination in Physics (NSEP) exam. Any students from Classes 10 to 12 can participate in the NSEP examination. This year, the NSEP exam will be conducted on November 24, 2024. The examination will be held from 8:30 am to 10:30 am.
