NTSE Punjab cutoff 2019: SCERT, Punjab releases the cut off of NTSE Punjab 2019. NTSE Punjab cut off 2019 serves as the qualifying criteria for the national NTSE 2019, which will be conducted in the 2nd week of May 2019. The qualifying criteria is pre-determined by SCERT for the next round. Only 99 students from NTSE Punjab are selected for competing further on the national level. NTSE Punjab cut off 2019: Subject wise
The subject-wise cut off of NTSE Punjab are divided into three subjects Mental Ability Test, Language Comprehension Test, and Scholastic aptitude test. The Mental Ability Test carries 50 marks, where the qualifying cut off for the general category is 40%, which amounts to 20 marks out of 50. Whereas, for SC/ST and physically handicapped students the qualifying percentage is 35% (17.5 marks out of fifty). Qualifying cut off for the Language Comprehension Test the qualifying cut-offs are 40% for general category students, whereas 35% for SC/ST and PH category students. The final sections of the NTSE Punjab examination is the Scholastic
Aptitude Test has 100 questions worth one mark each. Of the 100 marks for this section, qualifying marks for general category is 60 and 52.5 for SC/ST and PH category students.

Category wise qualifying cut off for NTSE Punjab 2018 will be as follows:
For general category the qualifying percentage is 40% of the maximum marks in MAT, Language Comprehension Test, and SAT.
For SC/ST and physically handicapped (PH) students qualifying percentage is 35% of the maximum marks in the three sections.
Overall qualifying marks for NTSE Punjab 2018
After you have matched the marks you have obtained in each of the three sections with their qualifying score for NTSE Punjab 2018, you should check with the overall qualifying marks to make sure of your qualification. Overall qualifying marks for NTSE Punjab 2018 are given below.
Marks obtained in the Language Comprehension test will not be included in the final merit scores of the participants. But, if you do not reach the qualifying marks for this test, you will not be able to qualify for national NTSE 2019. Participating students need to achieve the given qualifying score in each of the sections/ subjects of the examination. If you have achieved the overall qualifying score, but have not achieved a qualifying score in one of the three sections/ subjects of the examination, you will not be able to qualify for the examination.
NTSE Punjab Result 2018: Results for the national talent search in Punjab, 2018 will be announced in the second week of March, 2019 official website of SCERT, Punjab. These results will include overall, subject wise, and category wise scores for NTSE Punjab. These results will be based upon the subject wise, and category wise qualifying criteria, as discussed above.
About NTSE Punjab 2019:
NTSE Punjab 2019 is the first stage for national NTSE 2019 for Punjab state. NTSE exams are conduced in two stages, first is the state level talent search which is conduced in states and union-territories all over India by their respective state educational boards. Second stage is the national NTSE 2019 where the selected students from each state compete for the scholarships. Based upon the results of NTSE Punjab 2019, 99 students will be selected to take part in national NTSE 2019.
