NIOS 12th Registration 2019- 2020- The registrations for admissions to National Institute of Open Learning (NIOS) are open for class 12th students. Those who have passed the secondary course can go for NIOS registrations under block 1(April 2020). The last date for registration to NIOS 12th is September 15, 2019, including the late fees. NIOS 12th Registration 2020 is completely an online process where the students who want to take admission to senior secondary courses can register by clicking on the link provided below in this article. After registration, students will have to pay the requisite NIOS admission fee. NIOS 12th 2020 Registration for block II (October exam) under stream 1 will start from September 16, 2019, while the admission under streams 3 and 4 are done year around. Before proceeding to register a candidate must check the below-mentioned eligibilities:
For admission to Sr. Secondary course, a candidate must be 15 years of age as on 31st July 2019 (born on or before July 31, 2004)
They must have also passed a Secondary course or 10th class from a recognised board.

A student before starting to register for NIOS 12th must keep the following documents ready either a scanned or soft copy as jpg or jpeg files. These documents are uploaded after filling the basic information. Registration for admission to the senior secondary course to NIOS is not complete without uploading these documents.
Valid identity proof (like Aadhaar Card or Passport or Ration card or etc.)
Recent Passport size colour Photograph
Signature (preferably in Black Ink)
Address proof i.e. Aadhaar Card/Water Bill/Electricity Bill/Voter ID/Ration Card/Indian
Valid proof of Date of Birth (like Aadhaar Card with the date of birth printed on it in the dd/mm/yyyy format, Birth Certificate etc.)
A valid proof of Residence (like Aadhaar Card with complete address printed on it, valid Passport etc.)
Social category/Caste certificate (in case the learner belongs to SC/ST/OBC social category)
Ex-serviceman certificate (in case he/she is an Ex-serviceman)
Passport/Statement of Operational Bank Account/Appointment Letter from the Employer on Printed Letter Head, if living in rented accommodation - a copy of any proof of permanent address along with present Rented Agreement
Disability certificate (in case he/she is having any kind of disability)
Class 10th mark sheet
Fail Mark sheet of previous Board, failing which Transfer of Credit (TOC) marks will not be updated in NIOS result. If TOC Board marked with (*Other) is selected then the Result should be available on the Concerned Board Website or Learner has to submit a result verification letter from Concerned Board as per NIOS norms
Note: A student must upload all the documents in online mode only. NIOS does not accept any offline submission of documents until there is some discrepancy. They have to inform the concerned person via SMS or email to submit a hard copy.

Step 2: Click on the blue coloured button named as ‘Click here to Register’. Now, NIOS application form will appear on the screen as given below
Step 3: Now select the state/ut, identity type, course and enter the identity number. Click on submit tab to proceed further.
Step 4: Enter the candidate’s basic details like name, father’s name, gender, mobile number, address etc. Click on generate OTP tab to validate the details. Further moving the candidate need to fill in the additional details, select subject and upload documents. Preview all the details carefully before final submission.
Step 4: Now proceed to pay fees. Print the receipt for fee payment and filled in the application form to keep it safe for future reference.
NIOS 12th Registration 2019 - 2020 step by step procedure
Students can pay the registration or admission fees in both online and offline modes. Online fees can be paid through Credit Card /Debit Card/Net Banking while for offline case candidates must fill the form at Common Services Centres and pay fees via Electronic Wallet of CSCs.
Note: In addition to fee mentioned above Rs. 50/- (Rs. Fifty Only) will be added as the cost of online Application Form for all Streams (Stream 1, 2, 3 and 4). No Bank Draft/Demand Draft/Cash/Cheque or any other mode of fee payment is acceptable.
Once the registration is done and the admission fee has been paid. Students should keep checking their NIOS admission status to know all the updates of their registration. NIOS can reject any admission in case of wrong information. So students can check admission status of NIOS 12th using their reference number in the online mode.
A student who has successfully got admission in an sr. secondary course under NIOS must fill in the examination form for their session along with the NIOS exam fees for giving the exam in the following year.
After completing the NIOS 12th registration process and filling the exam form or before that, one should start to prepare for the exam. For the same, students are suggested to go through the NIOS syllabus which consists of topics and units needed to study for the exam. It also helps the students to know about the important topics, exam pattern and marking scheme of the exam.
NIOS releases the admit card at least 15 days before the commencement of the exams in online mode. Students can download the NIOS admit card by entering the 11/12 digit enrollment number. NIOS Admit card is an important document without which no student is allowed to the exam hall. It mentions the basic details of the candidate, along with exam centre and other related information. It also specifies the instructions and guidelines related to the exam.
NIOS releases the result in the online mode within 30-40 days after the completion of the exams. NIOS declares its result in June and December months for the respective session. Students can check the result in online mode using the enrollment number.
