About Sainik School Admission 2019

Sainik School Admission 2019: Sainik School Society conducts Sainik  School Admission to classes VI and IX in the 26 CBSE affiliated all boys residential schools across India. The first stage of Sainik School Admission 2019, i.e., the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE) will be held on January 6, 2019. Students who qualify in AISSEE 2019 will be called to attend the consecutive rounds, viz., interview and medical examination. Candidates shortlisted in the final rounds of Sainik School Admission 2019 will be allotted seats on the basis of merit and availability of seats. While filling the form for Sainik School admission, students can choose up to four branches of Sainik Schools. The sainik school admission form can be collected from the schools from  October 8 to November 26, 2018.  Students have to submit the completed form till December 1, 2018. The cost of the Sainik school admission form is Rs.400 for general and defence category students and Rs, 250 for SC/ST. AISSEE 2019 for class VI (300 marks) comprises Maths, GK, Language and Intelligence, while the paper for class IX (400 marks) consists of Maths, Intelligence, English, General Science and Social Studies. The result of Sainik School admission test is announced in the third week of March in the form of the final merit list.

The eligibility criteria for admission to class 6 and 9 in Sainik School Kunjpura are given below:


1. Boys pursuing class V and VIII from a recognised school can apply for admission

2. The age limit for admission to class 6 is 10-11 years as on July 1 2019. Those born between July 2, 2008 to July 1, 2009 can apply.

3. Age limit for admission to class 9 is 13-14 years as on July 1, 2019. Students born between July 2, 2005 to July 1, 2006 can apply for Sainik School Kunjpura admission.


The reservation criteria specified for Sainik School Kunjpura admission are as follows:

  • Of all the seats, 7.5 seats are reserved for ST category and 15% for SC candidates.
  • After allotting seats to SC/ST candidates, 67% seats of the remaining seats are given away to candidates of Haryana and 33% are filled with candidates of other states and union territories. In case seats are left unfilled in this category, they will be allotted to students from Haryana..
  • Of the total seats, 25% are allotted to ward of service personnel including ex-servicemen.

Sainik Schools Society has specified the following reservation criteria for students applying for admission to Sainik School Kapurthala:

15% and 7.5% of the total seats are reserved for SC and ST candidates, respectively.

Of the remaining seats, 67% and 33% seats are reserved for candidates from Punjab and candidates belonging to other states/ union territories, respectively. If some of the 33% seats are left unfilled in, they will be merged with seats for candidates of Punjab.

Of the overall seats, 25% are filled with children of service personnel (including ex-servicemen).


Sainik School Balachadi Admission

Those applying for Sainik School Balachadi admission 2019 in class 6 and 9 must fulfil the following requirements to apply:


1. Students studying in a recognised school in class V and VIII can apply for the admission to class VI and IX, respectively

2. Those applying for class 6 admission must be 10-11 years of age as on 01 July 2019. They must be born between July 2, 2008 to July 1, 2009.

3. Those applying for class 9 admission in Sainik School Balachadi are required to be 13-14 years of age as on 01 July 2019. They must be born between July 2, 2005 to July 1, 2006.


Reservations are made during Sainik School Balachadi admission as per the following criteria:

  • 15%  seats in Sainik School Balachadi are reserved for SC candidates and 7.5 seats for ST category.
  • Of the remaining seats, 67% seats are filled with candidates of Gujarat. 
  • 33% seats are kept aside for students from other states and union territories. If any of these seats are left unfilled, they will be merged with seats of the home state.
  • 25% of all the available seats are reserved for children of service personnel including ex-servicemen.

Sainik School Chittorgarh Admission

Eligibility criteria for Sainik School Chittorgarh admission 2019 are mentioned below:

1. Students pursuing class V and VIII in a recognised school are can apply for class VI and IX admission, respectively

2. For class 6 admission students must be 10-11 years of age as on 01 July 2019, i.e., they should be born  between July 2, 2008 to July 1, 2009

3. For class 9 admission, candidates have to be 13-14 years of age as on 01 July 2019,  i.e., they should be born between July 2, 2005 to July 1, 2006


The following reservation criteria is followed for Sainik School Balachadi admission:

Of the total seats, 15% are reserved for SC candidates and 7.5 seats for ST category.

After giving away seats to SC/ST candidates, 67% seats are reserved for candidates of Kerala and 33% are given away to candidates belonging to other states and union territories. Seats that are left unfilled in this category will be merged with Kerala seats.

Of all the available seats in each of both classes, 25% are reserved for children of service personnel including ex-servicemen.

Sainik School Purulia Admissions

Admissions to class VI and IX in Sainik School Purulia are conducted based on the following eligibility criteria:

Those applying for Sainik School Amaravathinagar admission 2019 to class 6 and 9 must fulfil the following requirements to apply:

1. Students studying in a recognised school in class V and VIII can apply for Sainik School Amaravathinagar admission to class VI and IX, respectively

2. For class 6 admission, one must be 10-11 years of age as on 01 July 2019. They must be born between July 2, 2008 to July 1, 2009.

3. For class 9 admission one is required to be 13-14 years of age as on 01 July 2019. They must be born between July 2, 2005 to July 1, 2006.

Reservations are made during Sainik School Amaravathinagar admission as per the following criteria:

  • 15%  seats in Sainik School Amaravathinagar are reserved for SC candidates and 7.5 seats for ST category.

  • Of the remaining seats, 67% seats are filled with candidates of Tamil Nadu.

Eligibility criteria for Sainik School Rewa admission 2019 are mentioned below::


1. Students pursuing class V and VIII in a recognised school are can apply for class VI and IX admission at Sainik School Rewa, respectively

2. For class 6 admission students must be 10-11 years of age as on 01 July 2019, i.e., they should be born  between July 2, 2008 to July 1, 2009

3. For class 9 admission, candidates have to be 13-14 years of age as on 01 July 2019,  i.e., they should be born between July 2, 2005 to July 1, 2006

Candidates studying in Class V and VIII in a recognised school must fulfil the following requirements regarding age for taking part in Sainik School Rewari admission 2019:

Class VI: 10-11 years of age as on 01 July 2019 (Must be born between 02 July 2008 to 01 July 2009)

Class IX: 13-14 years of age as on 01 July 2019 (Born between 02 July 2005 to 01 July 2006)


Reservations are made in Sainik School Rewari admission, according to which, 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates and 7.5 seats for ST category. 25% of all seats will be allotted to sons of  service personnel including ex-servicemen. After filling these seats, 67% and 33% seats are reserved for candidates of Haryana and students belonging to other states/ union territories, respectively. Seats that are left unfilled in the 33% category will be merged with seats of Haryana.


Sainik School Kalikiri Admission

Boys seeking admission to Class 9 in Sainik School Kalikiri should be aged 13-14 years as on July 1, 2019. For class 6, the age limit is 10-11 years. For admission to class 9 and 6, the boys must be enrolled in class 8 and 5, respectively in a recognized school.

Applicants studying in class 5 and 8 from a recognised school can register for Sainik School Chhingchhip admission 2019. Sainik Schools Society has specified the following reservation criteria for students applying for admission:

1. Out the total seats in Sainik School Chhingchhip, 15% are kept aside for SC candidates and 7.5 for ST category candidates.

Sainik School Society will release Sainik school admission form 2019 along with the prospectus on October 8, 2018. Students will be able to fill the form online or collect the same from the schools in which they are seeking admission till November 26. The last date to submit the application form is December 1, 2018. In case of offline application, downloaded or photocopies of the form will be considered invalid and only original forms will be accepted. Offline forms are to be filled in capital letters with black/blue pens. A candidate will have the option of entering four choices of Sainik Schools while filling Sainik School 2019 admission form. Sainik School application fee for general and defence categories is Rs. 400 (Rs. 250 for SC/ST). Steps to  fill the online admission form of Sainik School are given below:

Sainik School Admission 2019 Exam Pattern

Sainik School Society prescribes the exam pattern of Sainik School admission test. As per AISSEE 2019 exam pattern, all questions in the exam are OMR based Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). There is be no negative marking for unanswered questions or wrong answers. Sainik School Admission 2019 Result

The conducting body will announce Sainik School result on  March 11, 2019. Along with the result, the schools also releases the merit list consisting of names of test takers selected to appear for the next rounds of Sainik School admission 2019. Students can check the result by submitting their roll number/ form number and date of birth in the login window. Sainik school 2019 result includes a candidate’s name, roll number, marks scored in each section and qualifying status. Students are advised to download the online declared result, take a printout of the same and retain it for future reference.

Sainik School Society publishes set-wise AISSEE answer key for students who appear for the admission entrance test for Sainik School admission 2019. Test takers can compare their answers with Sainik School answer key 2019 and analyse their performance in the exam. The answer key of Sainik School admission comprises correct answers to the questions asked in the test and with its help, students will be able to calculate their probable scores in the test before declaration of result.

Sainik School Admission 2019 Selection Process

After the result for the entrance test of Sainik School admission 2019 is declared online, students who clear the exam will be called for the interview and medical examination rounds to follow. Sainik School merit list will be prepared based on a test taker’s total marks in AISSEE 2019. The schools will release the final merit list on the basis of marks obtained by a student in the written test and interview taken together. They are then allotted seats in classes VI and IX, subject to number seats and candidate’s category. The following points are taken into account in case there is a tie while preparing the Sainik School merit list: 

1. In case of a tie in overall marks of two boys, the one securing more marks in Maths is considered.

2. If the tie persists, marks for English and Intelligence Test for class IX and VI, respectively will be taken into account.

3. In case the tie is not resolved, marks obtained in General Science for Class IX and Language paper for class VI will be considered.

4. If the tie still remains, the boy who is younger in age will be allotted a seat.
