NTSE West Bengal Question Papers 2020- SCERT has released the previous year's West Bengal NTSE question papers on the official website. NTSE West Bengal 2020 Question Papers will be released after the declaration of result. However, a few prominent institutes will issue the NTSE WB question papers and answer key on the exam day. NTSE West Bengal 2020 Marking Scheme

  • NTSE West Bengal question papers comprise of two sections- MAT and SAT.
  • Each section has 100 MCQs of 100 marks. Hence, the question papers will be of total 200 marks.
  • Every right answer is awarded 1 mark.
  • There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

NTSE West Bengal- Important Sections & Topics

There will be two sections in NTSE West Bengal Question Papers, MAT & SAT. However, the previous year's papers also have a Language section which was removed in 2019.

MAT (Mental Ability Test)- As per the NTSE 2020 Syllabus, MAT section consists of questions from analogies, classification, coding-decoding, pattern analysis, problem-solving, series, hidden figures etc. This section aims to test a candidate's ability to think, the ability to view and analyze, the ability to evaluate and reasoning skills.

SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test)- The objective of this section is to test the candidate’s general awareness, reading abilities and interpretation skills relating to different subjects.

NTSE West Bengal 2020- Important Points to Remember

  • SCERT West Bengal publishes the WB NTSE answer key 7-10 days after the conduct of the exam. The answer key and NTSE West Bengal question papers will be published on the official website. Students can download it to compare their answers with those listed in the answer key. This way students can calculate their expected scores.
  • The exam conducting authority will release the NTSE West Bengal result in the second week of January 2020 in pdf file. The result list will contain the names and roll numbers of those students who qualified for the NTSE Stage II.
  • Along with the result, the Council will also release the NTSE West Bengal cut off. Candidates can calculate their probable score using answer key and compare it with the last year’s cutoff score to know if they have chances for qualifying NTSE stage 1.

Hello Tanish,  Good morning.
Scoring 170+ marks In NTSE is really good thing.  Final results of NTSE stage 1 is not released yet,  But you can predict your chance of selection based on expected cut off marks.  As per these,  The expected cut off for general category is 130-140+ .
So as per this marks,  You will definitely got selected for next stage of NTSE.
So be prepared for stage 2.

I have scored 162 for NTSE Kerala will I be eligible for Stage II?

You have not mentioned your category nevertheless the cut off is as follows for each category not NTSE Kerala stage 1 (2019)

General category - 143

OBC - 119

SC- 101.

As you have scored above cut off marks you have good chances of being eligible for stage 2.

According to our experts the cutoff for NTSE stage 2 for andhra pradesh students for general category will be around 164.
