NTSE Meghalaya Result 2019 - Directorate of Educational Research and Training (DERT), Meghalaya has announced NTSE Meghalaya 2019 result (stage 1) on February 7, 2019 in the online mode. Candidates can check the NTSE Meghalaya result online by clicking on the link provided below on this page. The Meghalaya NTSE 2019 result has been released in the form of merit list which includes the names of the candidates who have been selected for NTSE stage 2. This year, a total of 25 students qualified NTSE stage 1 from Meghalaya. Students must note that NCERT has increased the number of scholarships from 1000 to 2000 due to which the state quota might increase and DERT Meghalaya might release an updated result. 

Candidates with their names in stage 1 of NTSE 2019 merit list from Meghalaya are said to have scored the minimum cutoff set by the state. NTSE stage 2 2019 has also been postponed from May 12 to June 16, 2019. The NTSE stage 2 result will be released in September 2019 in the online mode. NTSE Meghalaya Cutoff 2019

The cutoff of NTSE Meghalaya is the minimum score that candidates must secure in order to qualify NTSE Stage 1 to be able to appear for Stage II, which is the national-level exam conducted by NCERT. The cutoff is expected to release in February 2019. A candidate needs to score 40% (32% for SC, ST, and PH categories) in both the papers separately to qualify the exam.  This year the cut off of NTSE Meghalaya 2019 will show variation due to the changes introduced in the exam pattern. The changes made are:

  • There is no language paper from this year. Only MAT and SAT.
  • An additional reservation of 27% for OBC category candidates.
  • The total marks have been increased from 150 to 200.
