The Central Vigilance Commission and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will organise CBSE-CVC essay writing competition from September 25 to October 10, 2025. The CBSE essay writing competition is oraganised on the occasion of Vigilance Awareness Week which is celebrated from October 27 to November 2, 2025. Schools will organise the CBSE essay writing competition internally, under the supervision of teachers, on any chosen date between September 25, 2025, and October 10, 2025. The competition is mandatory to be conducted during school hours. It is open to students from Classes 9 to 12, who are required to write an CBSE essay within a strict word limit of 500-600 words. Participants will have a total duration of 1 hour to complete their entry, which must be submitted in either Hindi or English.

The three best CBSE essays selected by the school will undergo a multi-level evaluation process. First, at the Regional Level, all uploaded entries will be assessed, and the three best essays from each CBSE region will be chosen. These regional winners will then proceed to the National Level for further evaluation. Finally, the five best entries nationwide will be identified and forwarded to the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) for due recognition and honors.

Schools must first evaluate the entries internally and then select and upload the three best CBSE essays (in PDF format) to the designated CBSE portal at https://cbseit.in/cbse/2025/cvc by 5:00 p.m. on October 10, 2025. Details regarding overall student participation must also be submitted on the portal.

The submission must clearly state the following required particulars on their essay. The Schools will submit the CBSE essay with the following details:
Topic of the essay
Name of student
Father’s/mother’s name
Class
Mobile number
Email address
School name & address
School contact detail
The three best entries chosen at the school level should be suitably recognised by the school during the upcoming Vigilance Awareness Week. These top three entries from each school will then be assessed at the Regional Level, where three best CBSE essays will be selected from each region. Finally, these regional winners will advance to the National Level evaluation. The five best entries identified nationally will be forwarded to the CVC for due honor and recognition.
It is important to note that evaluation will emphasise originality of ideas and intellectual honesty. Any instances of plagiarism detected at any stage will result in disqualification. The committee’s decision regarding the selection of students will be final, and no communication on the matter will be entertained. All schools are strongly urged to encourage maximum student participation.
