For the academic year 2024-25, 90.11% of students passed the UP Board 10th exam, and 81.15% of students passed the Class 12 UP Board exams. Students who fail two subjects are eligible to take UP Board compartment exams. Those who fail three or more subjects must retake those three subjects the following academic year. The UP Board's passing criteria for both theory and practical exams are detailed below.
In UP Board Class 10, theory papers are worth 70 marks, with the remaining marks assigned to practical assessments, making it a total of 100 marks per subject. To pass the UP 12th Board exams 2026, students must achieve a minimum of 33% in both the theory and practical or internal marks of each subject.
