On May 13, 2025, CBSE declared CBSE Class 12 board exam results 2025. Navya Shukla, a student of Amity International School, Mayur Vihar Phase 1, emerged as one of the top scorers with a score of 486 out of 500 marks. With 97.2% overall marks in science stream, she excelled in all her subjects. She got a perfect score of 100 in Sculpture. In PCB, she scored 96% which includes 99 marks in Biology, 98 in Chemistry and 91 in Physics which was reportedly a difficult paper this year. Question 1. First of all, congratulations on your performance in the CBSE Class 12 result 2025. Can you tell us something about yourself?
Aditi: My name is Navya Shukla, I've recently completed grade 12 from Amity International School, Mayur Vihar.
Question 2. What was your reaction after seeing the result?
My result was completely unexpected, as someone who was completely inclined towards preparing for the NEET UG exam, boards just somehow fell into place.
Question 3. Can you share your daily schedule and exam preparation strategy?
My routine was rather simple and not as serious as one would expect. I would get up and get ready to face my day which consisted of around 4-5 hours of serious studying. I was consistent in terms of attending coaching classes and giving tests. There were many ups and downs but in the end everything ended well.
Question 4. Which books did you use during your exam preparation?
I strictly followed the NCERT textbooks only.
Question 5. Did you face any difficulties during your preparation journey?
Yes of course, there were days that I didn't want to study and just procrastinated the entire day but obviously I had to try and sit down, work through tasks slowly.
Question 6. Did you feel stressed sometimes during the preparation? If yes, how did you de-stress yourself?
Stress is a constant part of this journey. I had excellent friends and supportive parents and teachers who I would always talk to, that helped me destress.
Question 7. How was your experience while appearing for the board exams?
Very smooth, I was used to many exams, so I wasn't stressed at all.
Question 8. What were your subjects, and among them, which is your favourite subject?
Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English and Sculpture.
My favourite subject was Biology.
Question 9. Did you appear for any competitive or entrance examination, and how was your performance in it?
I appeared for NEET UG, my NEET result is yet to be declared. I can only hope for the best.
Question 10. What are your future goals?
I aspire to become a doctor and, specifically, a neurosurgeon or cardiac surgeon.
Question 11. Any tips for the students who are going to appear in exams next year?
Simply refer to your NCERT textbooks and be consistent, that's all. Please make great friends and talk to your parents to remain calm. All the best!

Yes, in the case that you appeared for the 2025 improvement exam and your roll number is different from what was on the previous year’s marksheet, the board will usually release a new migration certificate. This is because the migration certificate will reflect the most recent exam details, roll number and passing year. You can apply to get it from your board using the process prescribed by them either online or through your school/college.
Yes, if you miss the 1st CBSE exam due to valid reasons, then you can appear for the 2nd CBSE compartment exam.
From the academic year 2026, the board will conduct the CBSE 10th exam twice a year, while the CBSE 12th exam will be held once, as per usual. For class 10th, the second phase exam will act as the supplementary exam. If you want to change your stream to humanities after getting a compartment in one subject in the CBSE 12th Board Exam , you actually have limited options to qualify for your board exams. You can prepare effectively and appear in the compartment examination for mathematics again. If you do not wish to continue with the current stream, you can take readmission in the Humanities stream and start from Class 11th again, and continue studying for two more years to qualify for the 12th examination.
The GUJCET Merit List is prepared based on the Class 12th marks and GUJCET marks received by the students. CBSE students who are not from the Gujarat board can definitely compete with GSEB students, as their eligibility is decided based on the combined marks scored by them in GUJCET and the 12th board. The weightage of the GUJCET score is 40% and the weightage of the class 12 scores is 60%.
