Students appearing for the CBSE 10th Class exam must satisfy the age limit requirements prescribed by the respective state/UT government before applying for the CBSE admission for Class 10. For some states like Delhi and Maharashtra, students can appear for the CBSE Class 10 examination at the age of 14 years or older.

He/she must have passed the Class 9 examination from a school recognised or affiliated by the CBSE board or any other recognised board.
He/she must be studying in class 10 in a school affiliated with CBSE.
There is no age limit to appear for the CBSE 10th exam. But at the time of admission, a student will have to fulfil the maximum and minimum age limits as determined by the government of the state/UT of the place where the school is located.
He/she must have obtained 75 per cent attendance in class 10 during the respective academic year.
The student must have submitted the examination form with the requisite fee before the deadline.
Only those applications that are accepted by the board will be allowed to sit for the CBSE Class 10 exams.
