Candidates can use the official website of Public Financial Management System (pfms.nic.in) to check their NSP payments. PFMS is a comprehensive online platform developed by the Controller General of Accounts (CGA) in India. It's designed to streamline and modernise the financial management processes of government departments and agencies.
Through the NSP portal, students can also monitor the progress of their NSP registration, receive notifications about scholarship awards, and manage their scholarship funds.
The NSP has significantly simplified the process of accessing financial aid, allowing students to concentrate on their studies without the added stress of scholarship applications. To track their NSP (National Scholarship Portal) payment, students can follow these steps:
1. Log in to their Public Financial Management System (PFMS) account:
Visit the PFMS official website: https://pfms.nic.in/

On the menu bar click on the ‘Payment Status’ tab. A drop-down tab will appear, click on ‘ Track NSP Payments’.

A new tab will open in front of the candidate. Add all the details such as bank, account number, or NSP application ID, and word verification.

Press the submit button to check the details.
Once logged in, navigate to their application status.
Look for the payment status section. It should indicate whether the candidates' payment has been received and processed.
If their payment has been processed, they should be able to view the details such as transaction ID, payment date, and amount.
If they cannot find the payment status or have any issues, contact the NSP helpline for assistance.
To track their payment status on PFMS, click on the appropriate button. If they have sent a payment to PFMS, the status will display as "initiated by a bank," "under processing with the bank," or "under processing with the ministry."
Once approved, they should receive the payment within 15 days. If not, contact PFMS for assistance. Ensure their bank account is linked to DBT to receive the payment. If the status shows "under processing with the bank," wait 24-48 hours before checking again.
If the status is not visible on PFMS, the ministry might still be processing their application. In this case, wait a few days and contact NSP customer care. If they have been awarded a scholarship and the merit list has been released, they can apply for the scholarship on the NSP portal. If the merit list hasn't been released, wait as the ministry is working on it.
