Cambridge Advanced Curriculum: AS and A levels (Grade 11 & 12)

The Cambridge Advanced Curriculum is a suite of qualifications offered by Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), a part of the University of Cambridge. The Cambridge Advanced Curriculum is designed for students aged 16-19 who aim to pursue higher education. It offers the Cambridge International AS & A Level qualifications. While it builds upon the foundation of the Cambridge Upper Secondary Curriculum, prior completion of this stage is not mandatory.

The Cambridge International A Level is generally a two-year course, while the Cambridge International AS Level is completed in one year. Certain subjects can be initiated as a Cambridge International AS Level and subsequently extended to a Cambridge International A Level. Students should prepare well for the Cambridge exams. The Cambridge Advanced Curriculum includes the following qualifications:

• Cambridge International AS Level: This is a one-year course that covers half of the content of an A Level. It is equivalent to the first year of a US Advanced Placement course.

• Cambridge International A Level: This is a two-year course that covers the full content of an A Level. It is equivalent to the second year of a US Advanced Placement course.
