The passing marks for the MP Board exams are 33% for each subject. This means that students need to score at least 33 out of 100 in each subject to pass the exam. In subjects with practical exams, the passing marks are calculated out of a total of 100 marks, which includes both the theory and practical marks. MP Board 10th theory exams are typically worth 80 marks, with 20 marks allocated for practical/internal assessments. For the MPBSE Class 12th exams, the theory papers carry 70 marks, and the practical exams are worth 30 marks.
To pass such subjects, students must score at least 33% in both the theory and practical exams separately. For example, in a subject with a practical exam, a student needs to score at least 23 out of 70 in the theory exam and at least 10 out of 30 in the practical exam to pass the subject. The MP Board also has a system of awarding grace marks to students who are close to passing.
The MPBSE exam question papers now include objective, subjective, and analytical questions. Theoretical exams will be 3 hours long, while practical exams are 2 hours. The passing mark is 33% for subjects without a practical component. For subjects with practicals, the minimum passing mark varies.
The MP Board 12th exams are being held from February 25 to March 25, 2025, beginning with the Hindi paper and concluding with the Mathematics paper. The MPBSE 10 exams were conducted from February 27 to March 21, 2025. Both the MP Board 10 and 12 exams are conducted in a single shift, from 9 am to 12 noon.
