    ICSE Class 10 Grading System & Marking Scheme 2026 – Subject-Wise Evaluation

Garima SihagUpdated on 21 Feb 2026, 04:05 PM IST

The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations has determined the ICSE grading system and marking scheme for Class 10. The CISCE Board uses a 9-point scale where students have to get a minimum grade of 7 to pass the ICSE 10th exam. The board further uses different assessments for internal and external exams. The highest ICSE grade point for external assessment stands at 1, and the lowest at 9. If a student scores 8 or 9 points, he or she is considered to have failed.

Students must at least score a minimum of 35 marks out of 100 in each subject to pass the ICSE Class 10 exam or score at least 33% aggregate or overall.
