1. Congratulations on being a topper in your School! What motivated you to achieve such outstanding CBSE results?Aditi: I have always been motivated to study. Never thought I’d be a school topper but I have always exerted myself to do well and give my all. I like studying and during grade XI I had conscientiously selected my subjects, so, I liked them already.
2. Can you share some of your study habits and techniques that helped you excel in your exams?
Aditi: For me, the NCERT textbook was my gospel. I know everything about it. I read everything, made notes, hundreds of sticky notes on my book, consistent study patterns, and regularity to school were key aspects of my efforts.
3. How did you manage your time effectively between academics, extracurricular activities, and personal life during your study time?
Aditi: I believe in being methodical and prioritizing things according to their relevance. I enjoyed my time at school and I took part in many activities, at the same time studies were always my priority, so I was regular and diligently devoted my time every day. I also believe that it’s important for me to not get distracted and discouraged by petty things. I always reminded myself that my career and my mental peace is more important.
4. Were there any specific subjects or topics that you found particularly challenging? How did you overcome those challenges?
Aditi: Yes, there were so many things that were challenging. I had a tough time grappling with so many aspects of Political Science and History. But then I liked these subjects, so I went beyond the text to understand and especially reading newspapers helped.
5. Did you have any role models or mentors who inspired and guided you throughout your academic journey? How did they contribute to your success?
Aditi: Of course my teachers, who gave me honest feedback, reprimanded me whenever I slacked, discussed all my errors, and redirected me to the best textbooks for CBSE Class 12. I am forever indebted to their guidance. It is they who believed in me more than I did in myself.
6. What strategies did you employ during exam preparation, such as note-taking, revision techniques, or solving previous years' question papers?
Aditi: Yes I have prepared a lot of notes, I revised thoroughly, planned up my schedule, and gave deadlines to myself. I solved papers in the stipulated time, made sure that I discussed my answers with my teachers, and tried to incorporate keywords in all my answers.
7. How did you stay motivated and focused, especially during stressful periods like exam time?
Aditi: Yes, there were times I would be disheartened and dejected. I felt I am not good enough. During those times, I took a break and talked with my loved ones, my parents, cousins, and teachers I connected to. I would recharge myself and start fresh with new vigor.
8. Can you share any memorable or impactful experiences that shaped your approach to learning and academics?Aditi: The whole experience at Manav Rachna International School is unique. I joined MRIS Noida in grade XI and I thought I would face problems settling down. But I have some amazing classmates and I bonded well with them. We received constant encouragement from my Principal who did not ever label us and told us that she believed in our potential.
I used to think that bookish knowledge is enough but my teachers guided me to read newspapers. If I am thinking of a career in civil services then I should know everything and have an opinion about everything. I need to know the world.
9. Did you appear for any competitive or entrance examination?
Aditi: Yes, I am appearing for the CUET exam and some other autonomous entrance exams.
10. What advice would you give to current and future students who aspire to achieve academic excellence like you?Aditi: Don’t waste your time on unnecessary things. Cliché to say but hard work and determination are the only way to success. no pain, no gain.
11. Lastly, how do you plan to leverage your academic achievements in your future educational and career goals?Aditi: I need to use it for myself. I am going to remind myself that I can achieve everything I set my mind to. I want to make my parents, school, teachers, and my country proud in some way or other. This achievement is going to encourage me to work for more. The sky is the limit.
