Competitive exams have become an integral part of our education system. Unlike what many students and parents think, competitive exams are not conducted just for Class 12 students. Students of Classes 1 to 12 can participate in a number of competitive exams like Olympiad programs. An olympiad exam is a competitive gateway for the students to understand their educational strengths. In an Olympiad, students compete with other students of a similar educational level and come to know about their strengths and weaknesses. It also helps them to understand the subjects that they study in depth. Government and non-government organizations organize many Olympiad examinations every year. The aim of these exams are to unearth talented students who are not financially capable and help them show their talent in front of the country and also abroad. There are a number of Olympiads for students in India. Some of them serve as gateways to international competitions and others organized by private organizations. If any candidate qualifies an Olympiad then he might get some financial help too, apart from the certificate of participation. These Olympiads provide a great exposure to the students to the world of competitions. It helps students to think analytically and also makes them realize their true potential.
