DGE prescribed the pattern of 10th class exams along with TN 10th syllabus. It illustrates that each exam will be held for 100 marks and 2 hours and 30 minutes is allocated to write the exam. However 15 minutes are given extra for reading of question paper and Verification of Particulars by the candidates. To pass the SSLC exam, candidates need to score a minimum marks of 35 in each subject. However, for the optional language papers such as Telugu, Arabic, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Gujarati, Sanskrit, French and Urdu, passing mark is not prescribed. Candidates choose streams in which they can create and invest too. Without 10th score , no one can go to 12th. HSC is requirement to go SSC.
