Age: The child’s age must align with the valid age limits for admission as per the respective school’s policy.
Residential Area: The applicant’s residential address must fall within the specified range (1 km to 3 km) of the selected schools.
Income Limit: Families falling under the economically weaker section (INR 1 Lakh p.a.) or disadvantaged groups are eligible.
Disability Certificate: For children with disabilities, a certificate indicating at least 40% disability is required.

Parents can secure admission for their children in private schools under the Right to Education (RTE) Act by filling out the online application form of RTE Maharashtra 2025-26 session. The steps to apply are as follows:
Visit the official website, student.maharashtra.gov.in and do new user registration by clicking on the ‘Online Application’ tab.
Fill in the asked details during the registration process. Your application ID and password will be sent to the registered mobile number.
Login using the Application number and password.
Enter child details and parent details.
Ensure that all information provided is accurate and matches official documents.
Use Google Maps to enter your address accurately.
Based on your location, select schools within 1 km and 1-3 km from your residence.
You can choose up to 10 schools.
Prepare and upload scanned copies of the following:
Birth certificate
Proof of residence (e.g., Aadhar card, electricity bill, or nationalised bank passbook)
Income certificate (if applicable)
