NTSE 2015 Exam Pattern is broadly categorized into two important levels- State Level and National Level. The first stage of the test is conducted by individual state or union territory and follows a test format compromising of two parts- Part 1 and Part 2.

The NTSE Exam Pattern is an objective multiple choice type test, based on paper- pen format.

The NTSE 2015 Exam Level-I test is divided into two parts- Part I and Part II. The part 1 of the test is Mental Ability test (MAT), which consists of reasoning and logical based questions. In this part students have to answer questions related to power of reasoning, ability to think, evaluate, ability to discriminate and visualize. The number of questions students have to answer is 50 which are related to analogies, classifications, series, pattern perception, coding-decoding, hidden figures and problem solving etc.

The second part of this test is Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), in which students have to attempt 50 questions related to Language.

The Level-II of the test is divided into two parts- Part I and Part II. Part-I is same as the MAT of Level-I, but part-II of SAT consists of 100 questions related to Maths, Science and Social studies. The SAT section is designed to judge reading abilities, interpretation, evaluation and general awareness about the subjects.

The candidates are required to select any one language either English or Hindi as the mode of examination, which will be applicable throughout the Exam Pattern of NTSE 2015.

The Second level of NTSE Exam is the National Level, where short listed students from State Level appear for the examination. This level is conducted by NCERT and has two parts- MAT and SAT. However, at this level a negative marking of 1/3 points is done for each wrong answer given by the students. The time is bounded to 135 minutes for completing the test.

At present, the NTSE 2015 Eligibility Criteria allow students of class X from recognized schools to appear for the examination.  The NTSE 2015 Selection Procedure follows selection of scholars only via there score achieved in the national level test.

hi,

the results likely to be announced at the end of month of february, however the decision is totally depends on exam authority.

see cutoff score changes year to year and depends on various factors like number of participants, question level difficulty etc.

the expected cutoff is according to category wise as follows,

General  173-183

Scheduled Caste  149-159

Scheduled Tribe  132-142

Physically Handicapped  125-135

OBC  164-174

NTSE results of maharashtra will be declared last week of february 2020.

Is Quantitative Ability going to be included in NTSE from 2021?

Hello aspirant. Every year NTSE doesn't release any syllabus in specific. As in nothing called official syllabus will be released. Basically 2 papers. MAT and SAT. MaaT usually itself will be based on quantum logic and reasoning. SAT consists of maths, science and social. NCERT books of class 9th and 10th, preparing them would be more than enough.

Nothing called quantitative ability in specific. Already embedded inside MAT part

The National Talent Search Examination is a prestigious talent based evaluation system designed for Class X students. It helps the students analyze their strength and weaknesses. Every year lakhs of students students appear for the exam of which 1000 are awarded with scholarship, 775 being from general quota. The Central government awards scholarships to NTSE scholars for pursuing studies in sciences and social sciences up till doctoral level.
