SOF Awards 2024-25: NSO, IEO, IMO, IGKO, ICSO, ICO, IHO, and ISSO

The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) organises several Olympiads every year. By participating in these SOF Olympiads, students not only earn valuable recognition but all get a few SOF rewards for participating in them, and some students are also recognised for their excellent performance. Students are rewarded at various levels - school, zonal, district, and international. There are also some special recognitions for teachers and principals based on student and school performance. SOF Awards and Scholarships for Students

SOF will conduct various Olympiads during 2025-26. The awards for several Olympiads are as follows:

1. NSO, IEO, and IMO:

• For Classes 3 to 12, SOF awards are given at the international and zonal levels based on Level 2 performance.

• For Classes 1 and 2, SOF awards are given based on Level 1 performance, as these are single-level exams.

2. IGKO, ICSO, ICO, IHO, and ISSO:

• All classes will receive awards based on Level 1 performance, as these are single-level exams.

Note: If the 2nd level exams are not conducted due to unforeseen factors, ranks achieved in the 1st level will be treated as final, and SOF 2025-26 awards will be provided accordingly.

SOF Awards at International Level 2025-26

The top three rank holders at the international level across all SOF Olympiads will receive significant awards, including cash prizes, medals, and certificates as listed in the table below:

Note: If two or more students share the same international rank, the cash award will be distributed equally, and each winner will receive a medal and a certificate.

SOF Awards at Zonal Level 2025-26

SOF recognizes the top-performing students at the zonal level across all SOF Olympiads with cash awards, medals, and certificates as mentioned in the table below:

Note: If two or more students achieve the same zonal rank, the cash award will be distributed equally, with medals and certificates provided.

SOF School Level Awards

Medals and certificates are also provided at the school level, encouraging maximum participation and achievement in the Olympiads:

1. Medals of Excellence

Awarded to top-performing students based on class size:

• For 5-9 students: Gold Medal of Excellence for the top-ranked holder.

• For 10-25 students: Gold Medal of Excellence for the top 3 rank holders.

• For more than 25 students: Gold Medal of Excellence to the top 10% rank holders.

• All students scoring 100% marks receive the Gold Medal of Excellence.

2. Student Performance Report (SPR)

• Every student receives a detailed performance analysis report, which helps identify strengths and areas for improvement. The SPR includes a detailed ranking, percentage score analysis, and a comparative performance analysis.

3. Certificates

• Participation Certificates are awarded to all participants, while Merit Certificates are awarded to Level 2 participants.

Top 25 rank holders from each class and each exam will be given Medals of Distinction
