During this time of the day, students' brains can perform efficiently at processing and consolidating any new information. Afternoons are also a good time for creative learning, grasping more analytical concepts. Also the afternoon time falls in the middle of the workday and people are generally active in these hours. Therefore afternoon time can be a good time to study for students who are not comfortable with early morning.
Studying at night has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. If a student finds it difficult to study in daytime and morning, studying at night can be the best time as one will likely have less distractions. Studying at night can be helpful for people staying with their family and not being able to get a conducive environment apart from night time. Many researches have shown that studying at night can help consolidate your learning and improve the recalling capability.
Studying before bedtime can ensure a memory consolidation process at the peak. It also must be noted that one should follow a proper sleep schedule of 7-8 hours to rejuvenate for the next day. It is observed that students studying till late night end up not able to manage their day time routine effectively.
