The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE Kerala) will publish the Kerala DHSE exam pattern for class 12 on the official website, dhsekerala.gov.in. Students can use the Kerala DHSE exam pattern to analyse the type of questions asked in the exam. The paper will be conducted for 100 marks, out of which theory papers will carry 80 marks and the remaining 20 marks will be for internal assessment. However, the theory paper of subjects with practicals will carry 60 marks.
The Kerala DHSE +2 exam will be held for two and a half hours except for subjects with practicals. The subjects with practicals, including Biology, Chemistry and Physics will carry a total of 60 marks. The remaining marks will be assigned to practicals/internal assessments. Students will get 15 minutes of “Cool-off time” to get familiar with the Kerala DHSE question paper. They must read the paper carefully before answering. The Kerala DHSE History paper will include map-based questions. They must attach the map along with the answer sheet and submit it. There will be some internal choice questions. Students must read the question paper carefully before attempting it.

The Kerala DHSE Plus Two science paper will carry 60 marks in total. It will be conducted for a duration of 2 hours. Students will get 15 minutes of cool-off time to get familiar with the question paper.

The DHSE Kerala exam will be held for a duration of 2.5 hours for most subjects. However, for subjects with practicals, the exam duration is 2 hours.

To be eligible for the Kerala DHSE 2nd Year Examination 2025 , students must meet the following criteria:
Academic Performance : Achieve a minimum grade of D+ in all subjects during the 1st year higher secondary examination.
Continuous Evaluation : Complete all required assignments and projects for each subject as part of the continuous evaluation process.
Attendance : For regular school-going students, maintain the minimum required attendance percentage as specified by the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE).
