KVPY Syllabus 2019 – The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana(KVPY) will be organised by IISc Bangalore on November 3, 2019. Candidates planning to register and appear for the computer based KVPY exam must go through the syllabus of KVPY 2019 before beginning with the preparation. IISc Bangalore doesn’t prescribe any specific KVPY syllabus 2019 but the examination tests candidates’ analytical and critical thinking ability. Therefore, candidates need to refer the syllabus of their classes 11 to UG first year. This article segregates syllabus of KVPY 2019 as per different streams - SA, SX and SB. KVPY Syllabus 2019 (SA/SB/SX)

The syllabus of KVPY for SA stream includes all the topics covered till class 11. Apart from NCERT, candidates can also refer books by other publishers (topics done till class 11). Some of the topics in KVPY SA syllabus are mentioned below:

KVPY Exam Pattern 2019

While all the streams of KVPY-SA, SX and SB consists of two parts and four subjects, the marking scheme for SA is different from SB and SX. The total number of questions in SA is 80 while the total marks is 100. In SB and SX, there are 120 questions and the exams are held for 160 marks. Questions with 1 mark have a negative marking of 0.25 in case of an incorrect answer and those with 2 marks have a negative marking of .5. The marking scheme for KVPY 2019 is listed below:

KVPY Mock Test 2019

Candidates can take the mock test of KVPY after checking the KVPY syllabus and going through it all. The KVPY mock test will be released online by the conducting authority and will help candidates get the real feel of the exam. This will release in the second week of September 2019. The mock test will be available in both Hindi and English language and is of 3 hours duration. Like the actual paper, the mock test also has two sections divided among the four subjects. KVPY Sample Papers

For thorough preparation of the KVPY 2019 examination, it is important that candidates download, practise and analyse KVPY sample papers or previous years question papers. These will make them familiar with the exam pattern, marking scheme and the different types of questions that do the rounds in the exam every year. Like the mock test of KVPY, the papers include the kind of questions that might come in any of the streams.

KVPY Result 2019

IISc Bangalore will release the result of KVPY 2019 in the third week of December, 2019. The result of KVPY 2019 will be released in the online mode in the form of merit list in PDF format. The merit list which will contain the names and roll numbers of candidates who qualify the written examination. After the announcement of result, shortlisted candidates will have to sit for a round of interview. The final result of KVPY 2019 will be released in April and shortlisted candidates will qualify for the KVPY fellowship 2019.
