Jasleen Kaur Taneja, 27 Oct 2018, #KVPY

KVPY Syllabus 2018 – The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana(KVPY) is scheduled to be held on November 4 and students writing the test should check the KVPY syllabus thoroughly before starting their preparation. KVPY tests students' analytical and critical thinking ability. The conducting body, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore does not prescribe any specific syllabus for KVPY. However, candidates have to refer to the syllabus prescribed for their specific classes starting from class 11 to 1st year of B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int.M.Sc./M.S as applicable. We have made the process easier for students by segregating the KVPY syllabus 2018 as per group- SA, SX and SB.

The KVPY syllabus 2018 includes major subjects and topics covered in each stream - SA, SX and SB. All the streams comprise 20 questions from Maths, Science, Physics and Biology. According to the KVPY exam pattern, in stream SA, Part 1 includes 15 questions and part 2 consists of 5 questions, while in SB and SX, part one has 20 questions and part two- 10. During preparation, students must practice from the KVPY sample papers and take the KVPY mock test available online. To know more about the KVPY syllabus including marking scheme, pattern and sample papers, read the article below.
